go to their site, fmr associates and there is an email address to remove your number. this is the message they sent to me back..This is to confirm receipt of your request to remove your telephone number from our database.FMR Associates is a market research only company. As a result, we are not subject to the national "Do Not Call" lists. Our studies are generally about media usage and habits, usually seeking specific types of people; that sometimes includes invitations to participate in research studies for which we pay respondents. Our automated dialing system selected your telephone number at random. The telephone number has been permanently removed from our database at your request. We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused.Sincerely,FMR Associates, Inc.
Remove my phone 425-339-6153 from your call list and do not call me ever agin. Remove my number from your call list.
I at least feel that I am one of many who is getting these unwanted calls. I do not know how we can stop them BUT WOULD SURE LIKE TO KNOW!!!
I've been receiving these calls for some time now. I had previously answered, telling them that I was not interested in participating. The calls stopped for a short time but have started up again. I was concerned about using their e-mail to request being removed ...would I then start receiving unwantede-mails also??? I didn't want to take the chance so I just called their contact number 520-886-5548 and to my surprise, I was actually connected to a real person. I requested they remove me from their call list. He was professional and courteous, asked me for my number and said I would be removed. I hope this works. We'll see! I have better things to do than answer unwelcomed phone calls.
just got a call for them, now that I know they are voice spammers I will be setting their number to go to my fax. I should NOT have to call and pay them for give anything even my free time to stop them. easier to just set my phone to forward any of their calls to voice or fax machine.
If you call these [***] back, they'll make a note in their system that your number is "hot," that there's actually a real live fool they can keep bothering with more surveys! That's how they make money: gathering survey answers from a shipload of audiences/consumers/voters then providing that raw data to the companies who actually analyze that data. So calling them back to plead with them to stop calling you has the opposite effect: now they know for sure you're ready to talk. FOR THOSE DUMB ENOUGH TO VISIT THEIR WEBSITE: Congratulations, your computer/wireless device automatically gives them valuable data about you, your IP address, location*, what kind of computer you have, your internet service company, and your operating system and browser. The website can trick out your computer with cookies and spyware which traces and reports back your web surfing activity! Sound like something you'd enjoy? (*EVEN WITH GPS TRACKING TURNED OFF, YOUR IP ADDRESS STILL PROVIDES YOUR APPROXIMATE LOCATION.) Why, you may ask, does your computer/wireless device reveal all this info about you? Because that, my dear, is how the internet works; this is what allows devices to communicate with each other, and how webmasters are able to control their website traffic. Good luck. YOU MAY ALREADY BE A WIENER!!! If you refuse to accept this information (and instead choose to believe the sham "comments" posted here by people who troll complaint sites and post stories about how EZ it is to have your number removed...how "polite" the company is..."give them a break" and other crap like that -- then SEND ME A $25 PROCESSING FEE and I will send you a valuable prize!!! You're gullible enough to fall for that, too. ;pDpDpDp
Good idea. On my cellphone, I put a dot or period (.) or a small letter (z) at the front if their name to keep all scumbuckets grouped together.Other fun ideas include just naming all nuisance callers something fun, like DIPWADS or ZPAMMER. Input all of the offending numbers as additional phone numbers for the same "Contact Name" (DIPWADS or ZPAMMER). Then, go ahead and give this Contact a special Ringtone, something super-quiet or pleasant. Or just set them to have No Ringtone. It'll improve your quality of life.
