Just received a call from this number. Since I did not recognize the number I did not answer it. I live in Perth Amboy NJ. Thanx for the warning, Tom!

Some one just called me asking for the credit card number. I asked him to take my name out of his list and he started cursing and hung-up before I could reply.

I received a telephone call at 7:36pm EST from 540-463-3816 appearing to be from Virginia. It was an automated message that was soliciting me for a lower interest rate on my credit card. The automated message then prompted me to press #1 to speak with a representative or press #2 to take my name off the calling list. Upon pressing #2, I was told by the automated system that I selected an invalid option, forcing me to press option #1. A man answered the line and stated his name but not a business name - I didn't listen clearly enough to recall the man's name - and I responded that I wanted to know why I was receiving the automated call. The man then replied if I had my credit card number on me asked me to give it to him. I replied with a question "are you calling me to phish my credit card number?" To which, the man replied "YES!" - I began laughing hysterically that he admitted to a phishing attempt. The man hung-up. Smoking gun case with these folks.

I got this call today and a few other times, but this cell is a business cell for my work and I only use it to text salespeople and to let customers know documents or other items are avaliable to them. I figured it was a spamed/spoofed call and promptly blocked it after looking here for verification that it was indeed a scamed/spamed phone number.

Received a phone call from 540-463-3816. I've been called by this number before. When I tell a Rep (politely) that I want to be removed from their call list, they hang up without reply, and later I get the same call again. Clearly harassment.

I just got a call from this number on my cell phone. How do they get my number? I don't have any credit cards, never have had one and I do not give this number to anyone but family. I tried to call back and I get a recording that says the number is no longer in service.I tried to tell them to take my number off of their list and before the words leave my mouth, they hang up.

Called my cell phone did not leave message .Not knowing any nancy higgins from virginia ( my u mail act shows this id on this tel number540 -463 3816 ...

SPAM. DIdn't answer. No Voicemail.

I volunteer for a non-profit animal rescue and got a "robo-call" from this number on our recorder, even somehow got through to my line which means it had to press 2 (press 1 for this option, 2 for that, etc) and all the message said was "I'm sorry, that is not a valid selection, please try again" three times and then disconnected.

I just received an automated call from this number in regards to lowering a rate on a credit card and I pressed 1 to speak with a representative. When the person answered he spoke very quietly and had a heavy accent and I told him I was wondering if they had the correct number. I heard a lot of background noise and he said, "Ummmmm..." and hung up on me. Not professional at all. Please be careful of scammers!
