These are not real phone/business lines - they are usually offshore telemarketers using computers and a VoIP system to dial number after number until they get a 'live/voicemail' answer; then they track/sell/share/rent that number because its real. They don't know you (they often use published phone books). The give away is 'Unknown Caller' and mostly an area code that you don't recognize. (Search on CBC Marketplace, To Catch a Telemarketer.) The centres are hired by organized crime and given a script to follow. The scam from 'Cardholder Services' is years old, they are just using new recordings or name but all they want is your credit card data and any personal information they can find about you - address, phone, income range, banking info. They are after your money but MAINLY trying to steal your identity to create Fake IDs in your name and commit more fraud. See the RCMP Top Scams website.Don't bother being rude or calling back - it just shows its a real number and you'll get more calls. Just hang up and report them to your anti fraud unit (in Canada, email to: info@antifraudcentre.ca). The Do Not Call Registry works for legitimate telemarketing businesses but can do nothing about these crooks. Writeyour elected official telling them you support the anti-fraud units, and tell them to use our Trade Agreements to get these countries to do some law enforcement and cooperation! And warn your elderlies - they'll give away too much info because they think they need to be polite, not realizing this is organized crime at work; tell them its OK to just hang up. All the fake 30-second surveys; free vacations/timeshare scams; won a prize; are all scammer calls.

"This is Jennifer. We are calling in reference to your credit card. There are currently no problems with your account, however we can reduce the payments ... press 1 to speak to a non-machine dialing human ... blah blah blah." Unfortunately, since only a retard would press 1, I did not get a chance nor opt to speak to the [***] Jennifer. Perhaps next time, I can give her/them what they are due.

The card service scammers WILL "service" our credit cards, BUT, when they finish "servicing" them, they will have no available credit remaining!

I would like to know how these scum bags got my phone number in the first place, and how to trace them back without leaving a trace. I have some very good medicine for these sickos if I ever get within 100 yards of them. They will be dialing for ever and getting nothing for ever when they will be 6 feet under.

Not to worry, got my IT guys working on it along with a few Federal Agencies in the U.S and Canada. Got quite a bit of info so far which they are still working on because these scum bags keep moving around to DUPE people for MONEY!. They will be dust in a few days, if not, I suggest reporting your calls as you get them from these people, to your National authorities. This is a matter of National security when they can get to your phone # and try to DUPE you for money from another country using a Toll free number.Several files have been opened by the authorities concerning these calls and it is just a matter of time before we get a rest from this nonsense. Be Patient and report all the numbers that call you from this # and other related numbers.

My mom received this call and they said "the dded is done and there is blood everywhere" should I phone the cops?

Got a call from this number. Never pick up unknown area codes, before checking with this site first.
