i got a call saying they were from microsoft

Received call, claimed he was calling from Washington DC, from the Government Grants department and that I was 'chosen" to receive 8,500 that did not need to be paid back. Before he said anything else I immediately asked him again "Your calling from Washington DC?" He said yes maam. I asked him for the telephone # to his office and he said sure and totally avoided my question. So I looked up his Cali area code and asked him why he was calling me from California when he just told me he was in Washington. He became very upset, told me I would be transferred to "Nicole Smith". So I asked what her # was and he got very upset and said he'd give it to me after answering personal questions. I asked again and he was very upset and said I wasn't taking him serious and I was wasting his time. So I said I wont waste "your" time any longer and hung up. He called back but I did not answer never got a message. Also said something about me calling the Govt grant store! lol... idiot!

I just received a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft. Was told by "Chris" that I'm having issues with my computer and that I must turn it on immediately so that he can assist. Thankfully I don't fall for this nonsense.

I'm on the no call list. Called offering a $9000 govt grant. I told her that and she said whatever and hung up.

I got the same call. After the foreign speaking person told me I qualified for an $8,500 government grant I told him I was aware of this particular scam. He hung up on me. But, over the past several weeks I continue getting these calls. Normally I reject the calls, but when I'm in the mood I let them know I'm aware of their scam and they hang up.

I answered and when I asked what they want he said "to *#%^ you!" And hung up...

Received a phone call from 543-210-9876, saying I have a government grant and that will never have to pay back,I could barely understood the guy, he barely speaks English, also, what that hell they get my phone number???

Our son who is 11 years old and needs his phone for emergencies continues to get phone calls ( as many as 10 a day)from this number and it is making him very nervous.

I've received these calls in the end of 2014 and at first I didn't answer. Then I answered and was told I was selected to receive a $9,000 grant, I told them I don't fall for scams and not call me anymore. A few days later another call came in and I told that person the same thing and do not cal again. So, tonight I received the call again and I listened to the whole call, took the ID# and phone # they gave me that would "prove" the call wasn't a scam. Of course, I looked up the number and found this site. 543-210-9876 is the number that called me and 202-684-6555 is the number I was told to call, which I didnt.

Got a call from this number. A man with an Indian accent said they received a call about a virus on my windows computer. He said to turn on my computer and he will help me. I don't have a windows computer but I went along with it and told him I turned it on. I keep a gym whistle by my phone for cases like this. I blew the whistle as loud as I could and kept blowing it in rapid succession. I feel good.
