Received the call the Indian sounding jerk wanted to as he said screw me. I told him where he could go and he kept repeatedly saying he would pay me to screw him.

Wife got a call, didn't answer it, no message. Just thought it was funny as she told me the number it was reverse sequential numbers.

Received a call this morning for my wife (she has a very feminine name) and I said I was her. They moved right along. She won from the US Government an $8500 grant, which was substantially more than one offered to me several weeks ago. They knew her address (town and state) and said all I had to do was call their account manager at 206-210-8160 to make arrangements for the US Government to send me the $8500 in cash. They offered to apply it to my bank account or credit card, but I thought that cash sounded better. I was given a special number for verification, which when given to the account manager would trigger the payment. I asked where they were calling from and they said the US Government Grant Office at 200 Independence Avenue in DC. The caller had a heavy Indian/Pakistani accent and could barely speak English/American.

Kept getting calls from this and other numbers w/no messages left. Went online and read reports that they are scam calls. The next tiome I got a call I answered all excited and told the caller I was glad he called - I was just carjacked and was locked in the trunk and could only receive calls - asked if he could please call the police for me ... never got another call.

I answered and he said he was the US goverment calling to offer an tax free $9000 grant. I stopped him and asked if I could record the message. He said yes and mumbled something then said this is a recorded line. I responded and told him they had called the "red" line of the FBI and that I needed to record the message so that I could triangulate his position. Immediately hung up... some Indian with terrible reading skills is who called. He probably crapped his pants when I told him I was FBI triangulating him as I heard alot of b-b-b-babbling in the background as he talked to someone else in their foreign language. Gotta love these calls.

Yep, just got a call from 543-210-9876. I didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer. Decided to look the # up and found ALL of these similar complaints about a scam and a caller with an East Indian accent. I am glad I checked here first. I hope those making the calls aren't able to access any extra information!
