so tired of these calls, call and hang up. I am old and this really bothers me. Cant they be stopped?????????
Thanks for those who reported this is telemarketing spam from the medical alert jerks. Do the greedy pigs at this company really think we'll buy their spiel that they give one whit about the health & welfare of the elderly targets of their sales pitch when they are maliciously harassing them by phone non-stop like this? Blocked.
Called my landline, left no message. I came here to confirm that it's just spammer crooks using the old "Free Medical Alert" routine. Thanks to those who posted.
Called twice, stated I was eligible for alarm device, just press 1, I hung up both times
Found phone number blocker i bought in thrift store for $3.99 internet shows it was near $80 therefore great that someone donated this to Goodwill Thrift Store for me to buy it can block 15000 phone numbers I hope to see how well it solves the problem. Thanks for your comments one more to add to the block list.
Call hang up at 10 am PDT. No noise or voice. Some say med alert; which may be true or not. Remember that crooks continue to call. When you interact with them by picking up the phone or calling them back, they get you as a "live" number and -- sell your number to other crooks. You wonder why you get more? You think you are beating them at their game by calling back and screaming or answering and playing with them. You are not -- you are their victim of the future for many more junk calls. Common sense remember? Use it. FCC collects all that is reported and often can zero in on them if reported enough and fast enough. If not, they continue. The smart crooks change the phone number about every three months, often spoofing or stealing someone else's number. Block is good -- but the calls will continue. Please remind the elderly and impaired: Do NOT pick up and do not talk to them. They do not care; they sell your number for the bucks. Make sure they have an answering machine so they can tell if it is a life caller or a crook before picking up.
If Google and other internet hookups can throw these guys into a spam folder why can't our telephone companies do the same. After all they are older and should have as much knowledge as the newer Internet providers, they should be able to do something about these damn spam callers. Better yet why provide these guys phone service!!
