I have had this number calling me for the past week as an automated system, but they never leave a message and when i called back someone said "What the hell" and then disconnected the call. I will be blocking this number on my phone, it is an option with my droid not sure if it's an option for all verizon phones.
This was around 11 in the morning (I was still sleeping, so it WAS a bother) and I ignored the call. I just called back, and asked what that was about and she said that the "1600 voucher promotion" i had called about to inquire about a month a go had ended and since I had not taken them up on it because of the price, they were selling cruises for 198 a person instead of 698 a person. I told her I wasn't interested, let's hope they don't call me again.also, she said it was a deal that "wasn't open to the public." ha, what a joke.
Reported the above number, with the dates and times to the FCC. We will see if that accomplished anything.
These people call constantly. I don't even answer the phone when it comes up on the Caller ID. One less person they're going to sucker into their scam.
I just got a call and talked to Steve ( ID#0431)...He said I was chosen from filling out a survey that I don't remember? He had me grab a pen and write down a bunch of information about my trip that I could use withing 18 months. The catch being that I had to take advantage right then on the phone. I'm mad I wasted 15 minutes of my life just now. He was very personable and said he had just gotten back from the same trip with his family. When I said I had no money; he offered several deals and said I could buy one ticket now and get the other one later with the same deal? This was a cruise through carribean to the bahamas leaving from Ft. Lauderdale or the Bahamas. I thought this was possibly real until I found these other posts with the same number and similar stories....BEWARE!
