Have recieved 9 calls in the last 50 minutes. Have asked for them to quit calling/ i hang up and am immedietly called back.

Called me 11 times and more later on today, i don't know what they said since of it's accent

This number calls my phone all day and night. No one is ever there. I tried calling back and it will not even go through

I received six calls from this number between 8am and 130pm at my desk phone where I work; keeps asking for Lisa. After telling him he had the wrong number the first five times, I told him this is a business. He yelled: well tell me what kind of business it is!!! I just hung up on him; foreign accent. Obviously a scam.

Well researched answer Tamianth! Thanks for the info!! However, this is not a creditor/collection call. I had the opportunity to speak with the "glorious" caller just now. I am a nurse case manager & this is the deal: OK, let's call it what it really is: A SCAM!!. They call to tell you that it "appears that you recently filed" for some form of government assistance (Social Security Disability Insurance, regular Social Security benes, food stamps, WIC, etc.) & that you have been "awarded a $14K grant" (maybe IT said $15K, I couldn't understand through the thick accent). I tried to explained that the number the jerks are calling happens to be the home of a gentleman in the last weeks of his life who cannot answer the phone. (his family called SS to discuss his medical condition). JERK/IT said all it needs to send my patient his "award" is either his social security number or bank account/routing number. I asked IT to not call back (at the request of the family), but IT said it will continue to call until IT talks with the person himself. They have been calling once a day for the past two weeks, but just since 1008 this morning through 1142, they have called 5 times. I spoke with them on the 1142 call hoping I could talk them out of bothering these poor people, but I'm betting the volume of calls is about to increase. I'm not sure how they got this man's name since they called the federal government, but if someone is selling that info, I sure would like that person's name. I will eventually strongly encourage the family to seek any & all legal remedies, both criminal as well as civil. In fact I'm trying to get them to call the Fort Bend DA's office, but they are feeling a bit overwhelmed right now. Again thanks for the consumer info! To anyone receiving a call from this number: don't answer the call, but if you do, please do not give them any of the personal/financial info they request. It is not a legitimate operation and the US government will not ever inform you of a determination over the phone and certainly will not ask for you SSN or banking info over the phone. They will confirm info you have previously provided in specific government forms (SC-SSA-16, etc.), but they will never seek that info directly from you over the phone. Just for general info, when filing for social security the average time between your filing and your determination is about 3-4 months and the SS Admin will not call to notify you of the final determination. That will come via mail. TXRN

i've been called 11 times since 10/09/2014, 5 of which happened today. one of the times that they called today i heard your typical call center background noise then they hung up. when i called the number back, all i got was a busy signal. thank goodness i've blocked this number.

Numerous calls all day starting at 7am. No one responds and all I get is breathing.

GOT MANY CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER. THEY SAY THAT I HAVE RECEIVED A GRANT FROM THE GOVERNMENT FOR $8000. I PLAYED ALONG THESE SCAM ARTIST. THEY ASKED ME TO CALL ANOTHER NUMBER WITH A PIN NUMBER. AFTER I CALLED THEM THEY CONFIRMED MY GRANT AND ASKED ME TO GO TO WALAGREENS AND GET A $200 PAY PAL. ONCE I WOULD HAVE THE MONEY ORDER THEN THEY WOULD ASK ME TO SEND IT TO AN ADDRESS. ONCE MONEY RECEIVED THEY WOULD RELEASE MY GRANT TO THE BANK ACCOUNT I WANTED. WHAT ARE THEY THINKING!!!!! ARE WE ALL THAT DUMB THAT WE WOULD DO THAT. THE NUMBER THEY CALLED FROM ARE 561-952-2080 AND 561-962-0740. THEY ARE NOT ASIANS BUT MOST PROBABLY FROM PAKISTAN OR INDIA.
