They posted a jeep wrangler on Cars.com... Do not send money for vehicles unseen. I'm very busy with my job, so I can't meet you in person,reason for why I chose to sell my car online.If you want to continue,I will need your name&address. After I receive your info, I'll forward it to PayPal and they will send us both invoices. PayPal will instruct you on how to make a refundable payment. They hold the funds until the car is delivered to buyer, inspected and until he confirms that has received the car in it's described condition. You will have 5 days to decide if you want to keep it, and if PayPal should release the money to me or not. If for any reason you won't like the car (I don't see that happening) PayPal will refund you and I will instruct the shipping co. to store the car until I find a new buyer. I hope the following string of e-mail exchanges will help other see and understand the scam.I have had a similar string of exchanges over a different car only 10 days ago. Funny, the must "work" so many people that they didn't realize that I was not going to be had after I insisted that I needed scans of the title, registration and would ONLY deal thru EscrowDotCom and it's automotive division.Once you make that clear and that you know, that nether ebay motors NOR PayPal have an escrow service and that neither will ever call to collect and that you will not entrust your money to just anybody calling you and saying "hello, I am your trusted BS agent" you will not hear from them ever again.I have looked up the FBI pages and hoped the had a "friendly" and "simple" page to log these scams on... but to no avail... it's more complicated than PayPal's complaint form.I don't know where to take it, but think of it. They publish VARIOUS cars and they get MANY inquiries. Possibly they scam SEVERAL people out of each listing!! Call it scam, hoas, scheme, hustle, con... whatever!JD,If I wasn't entitled I couldn't have sold it through PayPal. My phone is 402 403 0312. i got the SAME email. the ad was posted in a local paper! i am so glad i decided to google her!

same things happened to me. funny how ebay doesn't accept or recommend western union, but the ebay 'invoice' recommends it. hmmmmm

We had the same thing happen here in NJ. It was for a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee for 4900.00. Same email as everyone else got.I hope no one falls for the paypal scam as well.

Cynthia Kerr has Cars.com filled with fraudlent Corvette ads using the names Janette, Helen, Nancy etc. I called Cars.com and they deleted four or five ads too good to be true and said it had to be the cynthia kerr guy! Then a couple days later Cars.com is stuffed full of lots more late model Corvette ads priced below $20,000 way too good to be true. At what point is the stupidity and lack of prosecution on Cars.com behalf make them liable for the stupidity of this ongong saga? Its sad! Does somebody have to be shot to get action or is Cars.com and PayPal incahoots with them? This has gone too far for too long!

I turned them into FBI for fraud. Try finding a phone number to eBay. They don't list it anywhere on their website
