I am trying to purchase a vehicle right now, which couldn't be a better time!! Tax return season. To anyone else out there looking, if you can wait until April, try... Even auctions have raised the prices of their cars to almost retail to make money off of people in our price range.. NICE!!!Anyway, I have gone through Craig's List and the local Newspaper and these good for nothing people that are trying to rip us off are all over. Just please beware that they are paying to take add out in local papers also. If it sounds to good to be true it most likely is, at least for the next couple months.....Does anyone know of a number to an official office I can call to submit all of the info I have on these scam artists? I would love to show them a little gratitude for wasting my time. Good luck to everyone.

I am really sorry that you fell victim. I was really really close to sending the money. I was much too trusting. My banker really insisted that I do further investigation into the transaction because to her it had all the characteristics of a SCAM. I called PayPal and it was them who said that they had no account for escrow deposits, they do not send invoices, and the individual also said "you haven't waired the money have you?" looks like a SCAM. I suspect that the acount owner may not have knowledge of the deposits to his/her account. I suspect the FAX was a trigger to someone to call the account holder that there was a mistake in a deposit...etc...etc...who knows. They have worked many angles to prevent detection. Good luck....keep pestering your banker to reverse the transfer and that you were a victim.

What was her old alias? She is using my home as her alleged address, and I believe she is currently living in Omaha. I am pursuing her location so that police will be forced to take action against her.
