Report it to the Federal Trade Commission. There is a link on the Craigs List site to report fraud.
Haha, I got this same exact email. Glad I looked into it before I wasted anytime or money. I sent her the link to this page. Silly scammers.
just got this today The car is at the shipping co. in Jefferson City,Mo sealed and ready to ship it,as I got a new job and moved here to start over.I've signed up with PayPal so the payment will be submitted via their services. I'm very busy with my job, so I can't meet you in person, reason for why I chose to sell my car online. If you want to continue,I will need your name&address. After I receive your info, I'll forward it to PayPal and they will send us both invoices. PayPal will instruct you on how to make a refundable payment. They hold the funds until the car is delivered to buyer, inspected and until he confirms that has received the car in it's described condition. You will have 5 days to decide if you want to keep it, and if PayPal should release the money to me or not. If for any reason you won't like the car (I don't see that happening) PayPal will refund you and I will instruct the shipping co. to store the car until I find a new buyer. It's not necessary to ship the car back. If you want to buy it,please send me your info so we can proceed.
Yep, same exact scammer, posted a Craigslist ad in Annapolis, MD. Knew it was too good to be true, but emailed "her" anyways. Got exactly the same email responses as everyone else from rita.lorens@comcast.net. I found this page by googling her email address. Then I filed the complaint with Craigslist and IC3. I passed the link to this page on to both of them, so hopefully there's enough evidence to track this bit*& down.
Now she is is putting an ad in the Boston Globe claims she is selling 2006 Jeep - its a scam and now her name is Giselle
OMG! Sooo glad i decided to google this Andrea Evard. I thought it was too good to be true. An 05' range rover 59k miles for only $5400. thanks for the info
Well, she's back to Teresa Carillo. This time she's "selling" a 2005 Honda Odyssey.Hi , Thanks for being interested in buying my car. It`s in perfect condition,no scratches, damages, never been implicated in any accidents, it has only 99,470 miles and the price is $5,000.It has a clear title, free of any liens or loans.Because of my divorce settlement,i own this car and as a woman without driver`s license i don`t need it so i`m trying to get rid of it as soon as possible (that`s why i`m selling it so cheap). We will use PayPal for our protection, i want only legit transactions. Let me know where are you located, maybe we can organize an inspection.Have a great day! Got the same message from the same female she is back to being Teresa Carrillo out of Jefferson City,MO. She was adversting a 2004 Chevy Tahoe for $4100 w/61,942 miles. Then we showed our kids the bigger vehicle that would we by buying and they were very happy. So when we started the whole process of trying to buy the vehicle she kept stating it was at a shipping company and when we paid the full balance to paypal through a third party that was located in West Palm Beach,FL. She would then ship the vehicle out to us and we would have 5 days to inspect the vehicle. Notice the customer service number was completely different then the one on paypal website. When I called the customer service number got a busy signal. And then a male subj by the name of "Chuck" called back and stated he was returning my phone call. When speaking to the male he informed me that a company name "DAS Shipping" would be handling the shipping of the vehicle. Spoke to the female several times, but when we google her we found this website, and we called her asking for one of her anomonyous names and she responded. We then asked her if she sold all the vehicles that we see listed and she hung up on us. We tried calling her back but then we just keep getting a busy signal. I have already reported her to Craigslist .
This so-called teresa carrillo is at it again. I recently responded to a post on Craigslist for a VW Passat for $2800. I emailed her and she responded with the exact same two emails. "Hi , Thanks for being interested in buying my car.
