You hang up too fast. You have to wait about 7 seconds before it connects the call to a live person.
This is a call Center, an east Indian person was on the phone, said it was EPI center but he would not say it again, kept saying he is calling on behalf of Telus. I asked for a website, he said he did not have one, after I said how do I know you are not a scam artist. He said he had my information, I said everyone has my information, that is not proof. Told them to get a website to prove who his company is before trying to talk to me. I believe I have talked to them before, and they are trying to sell me their TV service and Internet service. If you do not have that service, they will go into a long sales tactic to try and get you to switch. Very annoying. If you want those service go directly to their website (TELUS) to get full details instead of some guy on the phone. He calls every week almost.
absolutely bombarded by these calls! Yes, it is Telus... calling from India. I am on the National Do Not Call list, so calling from another country is how they can repeat call without obeying Canada's laws. I am NOT a Telus customer... a service rep with broken English wanted my usage information to get me a better deal. I asked for his supervisor, and requested to be removed from the calling list- yet AGAIN!Once I got to this website, I saw something posted by "Gary"call 604-310-1000 opt 1I did, and a polite lady with perfectly clear English answered the line in less than two minutes. She only needed my phone number, and nothing else, to remove me from the call lists. She said it could take about a week for all calls from Telus to stop.I guess we will see...
Iin BC you can call the Privacy Registry Centre at 604-310-1000 between 7am - 4pm Monday to Friday and request to be removed. It takes 7 days - just called this morning - let's see if it works.
So I used my Shaw account and went into the Privacy and blocked this ONE number out.. On my Rogers Cell phone I have an application that blocks unwanted numbers.
