i have a solution:i use a VoIP provider and i can configure my own phone switching thingy. i use it so i can call home from my cell and my house phone then calls my g/f in the US (for free). but there's plenty of spots open on the call-specific-forwarding area ... i just redirected TELUS to the Rejection Hotline. so now if they call, it will auto answer with a voicemail saying they are "not my type".there are tonnes of Rejection Hotline numbers out there, but the Vancouver one i used was 778-786-8557.at least if they bother to listen to the message they might get the hint and realize i've caught onto them and stop wasting their own time.
It doesn't come up as a phone number at all on my phone. Where the name should be is the number 0116043102255 and below that where the number should be is blank. As you can see the last numbers are the Telus phone number you are complaining about 604-310-2255. A few days before this I went to the Telus website and inquired about internet service. They have a live online question thing where you can ask questions. I gave them my phone number and email. The service wasn't working. They sent me a bizarre email saying there was a problem with my question followed by an entire page of gibberish and then I kept getting these odd calls. I don't answer calls without a name and number and this isn't even a number. If they are outsourcing to Pakistan it is probably from fraudsters and not Telus at all
THIS F#@$%# KNOB KEEPS CALLING ME TOO ..I CALLED TELUS AND TOLD THEM I WILL SUE THEM AND CANCEL MY PHONE....WHO NEEDS A FREAKING LAND LINE ANYWAY....ONLY PEOPLE WHO CALL ARE IDIOTS ANYWAY
if u have shaw you can block the last number on your phone. just *60 and follow the instuctions. can be a little confusing but works. i have blocked three numbers so far and this one will be the forth. its great.
We have been getting phone calls since April 2010. from 604-310-2255. Ever since we change our bundle with Telus to not include long distance phoning they have been harassing us to switch back to them. They do not know what the word NO means. All the calls have been coming from Telus's two call centers India and the Philippines. Sometimes they call three or four times a day sometimes every other day. They call as late as 8:55 PM. This morning I phone the Telus privacy dept at 1-800-567-0000 and spoke to a very nice lady called Ann,(she is one of four people who answer the phones, so she said at that number.)She assures me that within 2 working business days we should free off calls from Telus for 3 years. We shall see.Of course after lunch time today I got another call from India !!!!!!
Tell them you are interested cause your current service provider keeps cutting you off for non payment of bill
I received a call from this number at 11:00am. They did leave a message, telling me that I "had an appointment" with an unnamed person from 10-12 today. They said that this person was running late and that they hoped it would "still work for me." I never made an appointment with anyone from Telus, and they never gave a contact name either. While typing this message, they called TWICE. I answered and said that I wasn't interested, thanked them, and hung up. They called again, and I told them that I wasn't interested in their services without letting them say anything. Wow , I will never use Telus. Weird that other people are saying that they've used Telus before, since I never have.
Got a call today - wanted to know how the internet & TV service was going. I told him I had experienced some intermittent problems with my Telus e-mail, and he promptly thanked me for my time and hung up ..... !!!!!! Weird !!!!!!!
A couple of hours after I get a call from "Telus" from their call centers in the Philippines or India I will get another call from a scam artist claiming to be from Windows telling me my computer is malfunctioning. If not that scam another one of the handful of the usual suspect scams. This happens every time without fail. Phone Telus and tell them to stop using foreign call centers or to stop calling you to market stuff, or you will do business elsewhere. Telus is where the foreign scammers get your phone number, your name, and the ability to spoof numbers. Often the caller has no number just this in the call display: 0116043102255 where the name should be. That contains Telus' number. These call centers did fraud as their main business before they got contracts from N.A. companies and they are still doing it.
