Received a call from this # on my cell phone--and I could not hang up! No one was on the other end of the line, yet no amount of screen-swiping would end the call. Finally had to turn off my phone and reboot to get rid of the d**n thing.
OMG!!! I'm terrified! Professional-sounding (female) voice mail from this #: "Someone has hijacked your computer. If you are using Windows you MUST call us NOW or all of your data will be deleted." Isn't this scam SO old by now that nobody ever falls for it anymore? And what's with callers from this same # doing a phony healthcare survey, as per the above posts? Idiots can't even keep their scams straight anymore, they're running so many of them. Blocked!
Caller ID said Ithaca, New York, and I almost answered as that is where I grew up. A message was left, and it is obviously one of the "problems with your computer" scams. If I was the one using Microsoft (I don't) and didn't call them back, my whole system would be frozen. A load of rubbish!
Just got a call and they left message,from Ithaca, NY. If I am using Microsoft Windows to call this number as it may become obsolete and I will l loose all my files.. I am not using that kind of computer! Scam!!
Left a message on my machine. Usual nonsense about Microsoft & my Windows computer. Caller ID showed "Smith Technologies". Number is now blocked.

Called today and left a message on my answering machine claiming someone tried to hack into my computer and steal my personal information. SCAM!!! Blocked the number.
Claimed someone was trying to hijack my computer. This was the truth, it was the caller who wanted to hijack.
