Robocall with a hilariously bad attempt at making me fear for my pc security. The grasp on English language is poor with this one. Not the most convincing con. Here's a transcript in all it's error prone and [sic] glory:"Someone is trying to hijack your computer and try to steal your personal information. If it's not fixed right away then your computer will become obsolete and all of your credential information they got compromised. If you are the one who is using Microsoft Windows in your computer then please call 607-319-8426 or press one to speak with security team now. Please ignore if we called you by mistake. Thanks."
automated message informing my Microsoft computer was in danger. I'm sure that if i had actually talked to them it would have only cost me ssn, my kids ssns, access to my bank account, and signing over the title of my car to fix the error...
An unwanted call from this Ithaca NY number arrived today. When the answering machine picked up, a robotic voice said my Windows computer had been compromised, and to press 1 to connect to the security team.This is one of many tech support scams flooding the phone lines. Whether it's computer repairs, timeshares, vacation giveaways, credit cards, air duct cleaning, home repairs, health products, solar energy, fake charities, the IRS, or Nigerian princes, A SCAM IS A SCAM IS A SCAM!

Scammer now goes by name of Smith Technologies. It's now the old computer fraud ploy claiming your computer has been infected & they will restore it for a fee....
Got a call today about my Windows program having a problem and will not work if I don't fix it. Gotta love caller id and answering machines!
