"Cindy Thomas" has been trying to collect from us for months now for something my company DID NOT purchase. Today on the phone she was literally YELLING at my CFO to "give her a credit card!!" He refused and she continued to throw insults at him. She said they had my birthdate to verify the order. I told them that was not my birthdate. She said, "Well, your birthdate or not, you are responsible for paying this bill". My CFO asked her to send/fax something to him showing what we had supposedly purchased. She said, "I will not! I have been trying to get you to pay this for months. Give me your CC number and for $100 I will make this go away! Give me your CC number!" He again refused. She told us she was going to put this on our credit rating effective today. She I called the BBB and they have an F rating with them (A being the best, and F being the worst), and thousands of complaints on file against them. The BBB told me to contact the Federal Trade Commission with our complaint, which we did. If you would like to do the same, here is the number to the FTC: 877.382.4357.Whomever Cindy Thomas is, she is VILE and ANGRY. I wonder how she lives with herself.
Received a call from Amanda claiming to be Internation Credit Reporting Agency regarding a delinquent account. A Quality Manager Report was order and not paid. No such report was ordered.
This is so lame, why should we have to waste any of our valuable time on a clearly bogus rip-off company. just look at the number of complaints listed on this site.
i received a number of bills for $299 over the past 6 months. i ignored them all till today.i call PBP number 800-220-5000 when prompted hit 6 talked with customer services. the girl said that it would be canceled at no cost.she sent a cacelation notice to my e-mail. after fighting over 6 months with these people i think it is handled. they are a trip.
Just got off the phone with Cynthia from this joke of a place. I could tell it was a scam from the beginning. I plan to report it to the BBB. She said she had a voice recording of our plant manager ok'ing an order and that she was trying to help him out by trying to collect before his name was sent somewhere else. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!! DON'T BUY INTO THIS!!
i have also been receiving these calls regarding an unpaid debt for the newsletter that i should have canceled if i didn't want to pay for it. i NEVER agreed to anything and i do remember the phone convo from a year ago where they were very polite and eager to send me FREE info to my email to further explain their services bc it was very vague to me. i thought she was selling administrative services. they also tried to say that my birthday was proof that i gave the approval. it is all [***] and the newsletter and the debt collector are the same people. i wonder if they can really send us to collections? does anyone know if that has happened? how do you check something like that? i refuse to pay and will not answer the annoying phone calls anymore. they should be ashamed of themselves.
I got the lovely phone call today. I was so distraught by how threatening this woman was that I confirmed my birthdate and she said "HA!" you just confirmed that YOU gave your birthdate to the person that called you about the publication and that confirms you agreed to their order. Talk about putting words in my mouth. Because I interrupted her she called me rude. I told her she must be used to it as she worked for such an awful collections organization. She did not like that. I explained anyone can get your birthdate infromation especially if they got my name from some list. Well, I really do hate circumstances that make me doubt myself. I know I would have never agreed to something if it WAS NOT FREE. Which is what they said. I also never received any publication, and I have kept an eye for it.I am glad I found this website, it has calmed me down and I have let my CFO know.
Same story are everybody else. To get a salesperson off the phone, I stupidly agreed to take some risk-free free samples, got maybe 2 of them (a worthless newsletter called Environmental Compliance Alert"). Like everybody else, I am now getting harassed by Valerie Oliver of International Credit. When I asked, she would not give her phone number but found this via Google. But, my God, this email thread is now at least 2 years long, and I can see that several people have filed complaints with Attorneys General in various states, and these people are still scamming. What's wrong with our government??? Oh well, I'm going to write a letter and follow up with the Pennsylvania Attorney General, and I'm going after Progressive Business Applications as well. .
