I've been receiving calls from this number as well. When I try to call them back to request they stop calling me, I get a busy signal.

I HAVE REPEATEDLY TOLD THESE PEOPLE TO STOP CALLING ME....I DO NOT HAVE ANY CREDIT CARDS AT ALL....THEREFORE, DONT WANT THESE CALLS. I PRESSED THE OPTIONS TO BE REMOVED FROM THE DO NOT CALL LIST (THAT WAS 3 WEEKS AGO) AND I KEEP GETTING CALLS FROM THEM. YOU DO NOT GET TO SPEAK TO A HUMAN BEING....NOW THEY KEEP CALLING ME AND WHEN I CALL THE NUMBER BACK THAT SHOWS UP ON MY PHONE....I AM TOLD VIA A MESSAGE THAT I DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM AND GET HUNG UP ON....

When they call to "lower my credit card rates", I'll use one of a couple of approaches. I sometimes use an accent and then ask "So you can give me a credit card?" That gets them bamboozled. If they ask if I have cards with a balance, I'll say "Not anymore. They took them all away in the court. Says it was a scam but that's garbage. I just need some new cards so I can go buy some more stuff to sell". Again, that confuses them. When they say they can't help me, "That's racist. You people are just not gonna help me cause you are racist". Be sure to mirror the accent of the person who answers for best effect. But my favorite is to say, "Yes, I have a lot of debt - like 6 trillion dollars. And the Chinses are saying they want thier money. Can you send me information at my office in the US Capital"

Most phones have caller ID. If you don't recoginze the number, don't answer it. If it's important and they know you, they'll leave a message. Otherwise, just ignore it - and Don't call back. You own the phone and you're in charge of it. The phone doesn't own you.

who has time for all that cr*p, just don't answer and if it is someone you want to hear from they will leave a message; these guys usually hang up before the machine comes on. Kinda the same idea as a list of "do not answer", if you answer, they will definitely be back.

DO NOT ANSWER ANY CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.THEY CALL ME EVERYDAY. IT'S A RECORDING TO LOWER YOUR INTEREST RATE.

Just waste their time! I always just try to tie them up on the line as long as possible. Don't ask too many questions, because they'll hang up on you, but just keep saying yes and wasting their time as long as they waste yours.
