Okay, this is different. They DIDN'T call me. The put a delivery notice on the door of my home. It states to "Homeowner" - contact person: Public Adjusters Office Phone 773-698-4858. I was home all day and never saw anyone come to my door. It's just weird.
Thanks Mike. I had already looked at the State of Illinois website and determined what a public adjuster is, which is all new to me. I don't have any claim and it is just strange to me that they are going house to house as it were. Which, by the way, is illegal in the town I live in unless they have a permit, which I don't know yet. Creepy that when I tried to look them up, it all comes up empty - no company name, no info at all. That doesn't make them look terribly legit.
White female answer fone snooty, refuse to give company info hung up the fobe 3xs. I warned them of tresspassing on property after the rude telephone contact. call the police if they solicit you.
