My husband got the call yesterday. Same MO as everyone describes. Unfortunately, he didn't think it was a scam and gave out our acct info. Only thing that may save us is that we are with Met Ed, not PPL. Have already called them, but they say they can't do anything until the paperwork comes to them. I'm a little annoyed with Met Ed at their lax attitude but it's our own fault. Now hubby knows not to give out ANY info. Have called attorney general to file complaint.
They've called 3 diff times today...glad I checked this out before answering. I've had so many possible scams lately, I simply don't answer the phone anymore, ever. Damned shame. I suppose I shouldjust cancel my phone service altogether. I've gotten several offers to switch to other electric suppliers...all 3 legit companies, all 3 came thru the mail.
I have signed up with Verde Energy and have seen a great savings on my electric bill. I have even referred my family members and got $25 referral for each one. This company is not a scam by any means. They just save you money on the supply portion of your electric bill.

The spelling is your problem why you couldn't find the name on google. It is Verde Energy. Verde Energy and DEP are the same thing.
Verde Energy is not required to leave messages due to the fact that there are so many people they have to contact to help people save money on their electric. The person who calls you has no idea you are having medical problems or what your doing during the time of the call. It isn't a big deal if you don't answer. You can call them back at your convience at 203-930-9760. They are just trying to help you.

Received 2 calls/voicemails on 10/22/25 from different people at this number claiming to be with Fortitude Assistance and Fortitude Systems re: possible jobs in IT departments. Sounds questionable. I'm not in that industry so makes no sense.
Daily calls, no messages
This number had my name, address, and the amount of money I owed for a medical procedure (but had already paid) and said they were calling to collect it before it went to court. I told her I'd do it online, and low and behold I have already paid it.

This phone called yesterday at 11:34.
It started out saying it was a survey. I didn't' listen beyond that, other than to hit 9 to be removed from their call list, then I blocked thr number on my phone.

I was called about 7:50 pm. I hung up when he said my first name. My phone said this is potential scam. I believe that’s correct.
