My husband got the call yesterday. Same MO as everyone describes. Unfortunately, he didn't think it was a scam and gave out our acct info. Only thing that may save us is that we are with Met Ed, not PPL. Have already called them, but they say they can't do anything until the paperwork comes to them. I'm a little annoyed with Met Ed at their lax attitude but it's our own fault. Now hubby knows not to give out ANY info. Have called attorney general to file complaint.

They've called 3 diff times today...glad I checked this out before answering. I've had so many possible scams lately, I simply don't answer the phone anymore, ever. Damned shame. I suppose I shouldjust cancel my phone service altogether. I've gotten several offers to switch to other electric suppliers...all 3 legit companies, all 3 came thru the mail.

Verde Energy is not required to leave messages due to the fact that there are so many people they have to contact to help people save money on their electric. The person who calls you has no idea you are having medical problems or what your doing during the time of the call. It isn't a big deal if you don't answer. The attorney general won't do anything for you concerning this matter. Your husbands voice is on a recording agreeing to the terms of the offer. You cannot receive help lowering your rate if you do not have PPL.
