You would be a fool to join the suplier who's info came in the mail. They have contracts, cancelation fees and don't guarentee to be lower than your supplier that you have by default. Verde Energy is a ligit company to help you. You can look it up on www.bbb.org, www.lowcostpower.com. If you decide to choose them it is better to call them by phone at 203-930-9760.
Verde Energy is not trying to sell you anything. They are trying to help you with your electric bill by lowering your rate. They most likely didn't realize that your answering machine picked up.
Yes, and you work for this company, right? Sounds like it. They called me tonight in NJ and I'm reporting them to the FTC for violating my Do Not Call status.
If people are on the do not call list, that means you DO NOT CALL them. You are not helping anyone 'save' anything except maybe your own job. Why do you need to lie to people. If people can get cheaper electric from a third party that doesn't need to be involved, then they can get it even cheaper directly from their original supplier.
People please, do yourself a favor and check into your electric options. You have about 20 options for your electric supplier, Verde, Dominion.......... You are paying PP&L rates if you decide to stay with them they are the highest. If you pick another supplier you still get your bill from PP&L but they have to buy it at the cheaper rate from that supplier and buy law CANNOT make money off that transaction. So shop around, it's not a scam you do have options to save money.
You are sure your name is not Long Nose?In the short term you might save a couple of dollars but in the long run they charge you more than the original power company. How do you thing they can pay out all the comissions for telemarketing companies harrasing you. Studies have shown that 89% of people pay an extra $150 over a year than if they stayed with their original power company. Only 11% saw some minimal savings.
Valerie, If these calls are legitimate Verde energy better come up with a better marketing plan. The guy calls me, tells me he's going to save me a bunch of money, and asks me to get out my phone bill to verify... HELLO???? When a stranger calls you on the phone and asks for your personal information, it's a SCAM... duh..
