I recieved a call and stupidly answered their questions. I called the numbers they gave me to cancel the next day. I called and cancelled. About a month later I started magazines. I mean like alot of magazines. You name it, ESPN, W, Glamour, etc. I checked with my credit card company and they had billed my card roughly $300.00. I called this Rewards company with my cancellation confirmation no. and they are telling me that it is not one of their numbers. Then she asked me what number I called to cancel. I repeated the number to her. She puts me on hold and tells me its Verizon company. I checked she was right on that. I called Verizon company and they said they get alot of calls from people to complain about these jerks. I cancelled my card but the magazines keep coming. They told me I am liable for $2000.00. Anyone else have this experience? How did you handle this? Please advise!!
Also receiving several calls but since the person they are asking for is not at this number, they promptly hang up on me.
Received a call from this number telling regarding a credit card gift of $800 they want to send. I told them the first and second time I was not interested and to not call again. On the third call from the same sounding voice I told that person she had called 3 times and to stop calling.
Multiple calls from this number. When I answer, no one says anything at all. Caller ID only shows as coming from Denbigh, Ontario.
These guys sure are persistent. I've been called by them 11 times over the last 4 days. The one time I picked up, they said they know my name, address, and the last 4 letters of my debit card. They just needed to "confirm" my information so they could send me some value card (or whatever) that I had apparently won. I paused, hung up, and stopped answering their calls. Of course, the caller almost ALWAYS has an accent and doesn't speak clearly, so you end up being unsure of what's being "offered" and not comfortable with giving out your information. I've actually been through this kind of thing before. I gave the people my info and ended up getting subscriptions to magazines I didn't want. It took me over a month to cancel my subscription and get them off my back. Trust me folks, if you get a call from these kinds of people and they won't let up, just say STOP CALLING ME OR I'LL CITE YOU FOR HARASSMENT. A message like that really gets the point across.
They just called my home. I didn't answer. They didn't leave a message. 14 pages of complaints on here. How are they still "in business?" This is b*llsh*t!!
Received two phone calls in the last two days. Patrick Papel (same person both times) told me that I would win a $100 gift card and asked if the last four of my VISA was ####. Also, he wanted to know if I still lived at ### XXXXXX DR, ?????????, %%. I didn't tell him amything and asked to speak to his supervisor. He hung up on me. I have tried to call this number numerous times today and cannot get thru because I am dialing it wrong.
