I have been receiving calls from this number, and last time they left a fax tone message in my cell phone that blocked the functions of my voicemail. I had to erase all the messages stored in my voicemail to get rid of their message.
Calller ID says "Chula Vista, CA" Could hear individual in background [we have call screening]. Don't know nature of company.
I LOVE your solution, Barb! Thank you for posting that.I rarely answer the phone for telemarketers (or politicians or non-profits), but when I do, I say "Police Department. How may I direct your call?" It's actually stopped a few of them.
Caller ID read "private number". That's a dead giveaway that it's not a legitimate caller. Lowlifes never want you to know who they are. Of course, I don't answer unless I recognize the name or number.
And they'll pretend to be anybody but themselves. The more they pretend, the more they reveal themselves. So let them pretend until they get taken over by their own lies and crushed beyond help.
I got a call from this number around 4:30 this afternoon. I answer and a nice dude said he would like to retrieve info about restaurants in my area and that he did not intend on selling anything. I went through the whole survey and the only slightly sketchy question was about my zip code. I gave it to him and thats it(other than the 30 minute long survey lol) I didnt really mind the call. The guy was nice and we laughed when i gave a food joint a low rating.
