A call from a company called "Added Value" marketing research. They told me they wouldn't try to sell me anything or ask me to switch and stuck to their promise. 630-505-3008 (naperville, IL) called me @ 6:35pm 9/20/12....i do take surveys so maybe that's how they got my number...called them back and the # was busy.....

Thanks for the great information. My suggestion is if you don't recognize the number, don't answer the call.

Very bizarre tonight - my daughter called me saying someone called her cell number looking for me and it was an Illinois number. When she questioned why they would be calling her cell they said well we also have this number (my home #) - she told them well I don't think she is home. But sure enough 10 minutes later 630 505 3008 called my home - said they were a market research company doing a study for Human Resources Canada on Employment Insurance. I ask whether voluntary, she says yes. I say not interested. But she says you answers will help better the Employment Insurance program. Sorry I say not interested.... then ask "this same number just called my daughters cell - how did you get my daughters cell phone number - there is absolutely no connection with her cell number and me - the phone is registered in her boyfriends name and I have absolutely nothing to do with the number". She says she knows nothing about that ( a male had called my daughter). She thens asks did I not receive a letter from Human Resources - my answer NOPE! I told her that I find very bizarre and sneaky for the Gov't of Canada to be selling my info to an American market research company. I finally got rid of her. Called my daughter and told her - now her is the weird part - a letter was sent to me - to my ex's house (my old address) from Human Resources - it is in my daughters car but she hasn't seen me since weekend. So how do they send letter to old address from years ago, have my new phone number of a year AND my daughters cell phone number, which is in her boyfriends name. I am a little freaked over this all - Big Brother is watching me! Sat and dwelled for the last little bit then popped the number in Google search and guess what I found?

just creating a contact on my DROID so I can send all calls direct to Voice Mail.

What I do now is add the number from caller ID to my phone's phone book, and for "name" I put "No". That way, when they call I see the number and the word "No", so I don't answer it.
