This attorney and his "staff" should be closed down and put out of business. Sokoloff and his nasty staff especially Mrs.Carter are just bullies with a law degree to use to their advantage. They don't listen to anything you say. They cut you off, they yell at you and they harass you. I was told I was speaking to Sokoloff when I requested to speak with him...still not sure it really was him and not just someone in the office. He recorded our conversation. I asked him if he was recording it and he never gave me an answer. I knew he was recording me because it kept beeping and blocking out what I was saying. Then he kept changing everything I told him. The letter they send says to call if you have a dispute. That is the biggest joke because they don't hear a word you say. Mrs. Carter keeps harassing my 21 year old daughter who is away at college. The first time she got my daughter on the phone she asked her a bunch of questions like who pays for your smart phone and your tuition and your car. My daughter had no idea who she was or what it was all about. This whole thing is about a billing dispute we are having with our dentist. Since my daughter is over 18 they can call her. I was livid when my daughter called and told me about this. I called this Mrs. Carter and told her she had no right to harass my child. Her answer was she isn't as child she is an adult. My response was she is my child. This matter gets more and more involved simply because the dentist refuses to deal with us. We went to him for 18 years without any problems till his wife took over as bookkeeper. It is very complicated and very sad. You try to resolve an issue you feel is wrong and they treat you like garbage. I can't get the dentist or his "attorney" to listen. I don't know who to turn today this point. We are very angry and very upset.

I have same dumb collection attorney pestering me. for a orthopedic visit 2 years ago which insurance should have paid. Now I get collection letters, and they send collection letters to my wife, she wasn't even the patient. received a call from Kerry Kay several in fact to collect a hospital debt about 900.00. sokoloff is the worse kind of scumbag and. has been cited for professional misconduct. I decided to pay the debt outright rather. than work out a payment plan with this scumbag.

This firm is programmed to treat people disrespectfully. Because they don't take any time to get the facts in order before making "rude" calls, the secretaries sound like they just came from a Jerry Springer show. People treat you how they want to be treated. No one should ever waste their time with this type of behavior.

I actually didn't have a bad experience with this firm. I owe money and it's my fault. When miss carter called me she was very understanding and did all that she could to help me out. I told her I was in college full time and couldn't pay in full so she set up for a month to month payment plan and I asked her to call me before she actually charged my card so I was sure the money was in my account. She's just doing her job. I would never want to be a collector and deal with this crap everyday.

I have been being harrassed by this company f I r a very long time. They froze my bank account a year ago and i had no income it was all my husbands. We had to prove to them that it was only his. They unfroze it and now a year later they froze it again for a bill that should have been paid for if it was submitted to the right insurance company. They are very very nasty people. I'm a disabled mother of three just making it thru and they dont care. My husband tried calling to discuss them freezing his bank account and richard was very rude to him and hung up on him. My husband called back and richard threatened to call cops on my husband if he called back. They try bulling and abusing us in order to try and get money. They wouldnt even set up monthly payments.

I had a hospital bill from when my daughter was born, but for some reason the insurance didn't pay the anesthiologist portion (they bill separately). The matter went into judgement during the time that I was trying to get it cleared up with insurance. The insurance finally sent out a letter stating that I did have coverage during the time and they will pay the requested amount. I called Sokoloff's office and spoke with a Mr. Ochoa. Not only was he an idiot, he was grossly unprofessional and clueless of how to resolve the matter. The judgement is on my credit report and I want them to take it off. They are so used to being rude and obnoxious to people trying to collect debt, that they don't know when to turn the A-hole button off!!! Mr. Ochoa is a classic case of authority gone to the head! Get a life bird brain.

I agree with all the negative things said about this man and his office. He s a "bottom feeder" for sure.

Going through the same thing..Ms.Carter is rude and unprofessional. I OWED 1400..I paid it..She said if I dont pay 466 in intrest Im being sued..I have to pay my rent..She wouldnt even let me talk. .I paid the entire bill in two months..Being strong armed...
