I applied online for a personal loan. I received a call from a Steven Anderson of LeadLink Financial. The number on the caller ID was 646-536-9090 and he left a call back number of 1-888-689-8658. I was approved for a $5,000 loan and because I did not have perfect credit, I needed to pay $965 upfront. I would have no payments until May 2009 and at that time I would also receive the $965 back. I decided to do some checking, while I was awaiting the paperwork being sent to me, so I decided to do some checking. I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau website and it indicated that they are not even licensed, nor does the business reside at the address in which they advertise. So, I would have to say this is a scam and hopefully people check the phone number before giving in to them.

I recently recieved a phone call from this number and was informed that I have been approved for a $5000 secured loan. I spoke With a gentlemen by the name of Tyler and he told me that in order to recieve the full amount of the loan that I had to western union $800 dollars to him. He also stated that i had to fax some personal information such as ss#, drivers license and a pay check stub. I was informed that as soon as he got the western union payment and the fax that my funds would be released with in 24 hrs. I was given two options for payment. The first one being direct deposit into my checking account and the second choice was to wait for a certified check. After I hung up the phone I checked my email and had recieved a loan contract from Tyler showing me the loan terms and payments. I have enclosed a copy below. Received a call from a Maria Taylorfrom this number saying I was approved for a $15,000 loan with their company Avalon lending solutions, but to get it she needs $1900 collateral. Yeah right? i got a call from a Mr E Bailen his # was 1-877-570-2835 ext 340 he also told me i was approved for a load in the amount of 15,000 but had to go to a wal mart to a money gram and would have to send him 1350.00 up front to get the 15,000 i never heard such a thing to get a loan si i googled the # that showed up on my phone 646-536-9090 and boy am i glad i did i almost fell for it BEWARE OF THIS, DON'T FALL FOR IT

I receive the same phone call and maria said I was appoved for 7000.00 and she needed 975.00 collateral. whatever. She even called me from a private number. I called back the number she gave me and the operater only said good bye and it's hangs up. whe I ask her why the phone number she gave me didnt't work she said the was receving new headphones, right then I knew this was not real. I almost fell for this. Am so gald I look this mess up. thanks

I received a phone call from 646-536-9090 on my phone today. I was not answered because no one was here. They left a message on my answering machine. First off the lady, Rebecca, did not say her last name. She said she was from york lending and her call was regarding the approval of an 8000.00 loan for me. Then she asked for me to please call her back at 1800963?717- she mumbled the number so i could not hear on of the numbers she said. I got online to look up the company and there is no such company as york lending. So I looked up the number that they called me from and I found this page. I tried to call that number back and just got a loud buzzing sound. So then I guessed on the one missing number and called 1-800-963-9717 It took me to an automated system saying I had reached York Land Lending and to enter my parties extension which was 115 so I did only it didn't take me to Rebecca it took me to account services department and no one would answer. This is a Scam the only reason I called them back was to see if I could get some more information on them. At first I believed that it was real, Thanx to the internet I was not scammed. You should always look up a company and the phone number they called from before you do anything with the company. Ask them for there location, and a business number if they cant or wont give it to you they are not legit, but even if they do take caution and NEVER I repeat NEVER send money as collateral or "insurance" (especially if they want you to send it through paypal or western union) if they need that they can take it out of the loan. Never give out bank account numbers so they can deposit it into your account, make them send a check and before you have the check cashed or deposited talk to a banker and reaserch the company as much as possible. And Finally, if it doesn't feel right, or something seems fishy about it don't do it usually your gut feeling is always right.

This is a common outport number for a calling card (prepaid long distance card).It could be a friend or telemarketing but probably not a collection agency.
