I got this call twice, but when I pick up I hear nothing. I found it suspicious so I looked up the phone number. I see from the above complains and I am going to ignore this number. Scammers!
This number has been identified as an internet scam by the Torrington Police Department and they are investigating them as far as I know. They suggest not answering the call at all but if you do, do not give out any personal information or listen to any of the malarkey they try to peddle.
I keep getting calls from this number saying" my computer has a problem " and they want to fix the problem, looks like a scam to me. I always tell them to take me off of thier list and not to call again. However they always do anout twice or three tiems a week.
I get calls from this #646-612-3456 Id says cell phone. N Y. They hang up when I answer! I called back and get a recording saying they are not available !!
Did not pick up.they did not leave message. Too many calls from unknown people.....this is too much!!!!
Just called me a bit ago. Kept him on the phone pretending to do what he asked me. After about 15 min i told him i had fun talking to him but i know he is scamming me....so i decided to waste his time.
Agreeing with "Fed up." Call came into the landline around 11:30. Per the instructions of our state Ag, Trade & Consumer Protection Agency, I NEVER answer calls from numbers I do not recognize. If the call is important, and people need to get a hold of you, they will...or they will leave a message! When you answer these calls, you absolutely are registered as a "live" number, and can expect to receive more calls. Inform yourself and stay safe out there...it's a crazy world! Kudos to the ladies at the Wisconsin Dept. of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection who do a Public Radio show once a month on the latest scams...you are helping!!!
