Can anyone do anything about these foreign scammers? I have called the Kentucky Atty Generals Office and they are working on it -
9PM on 8/8/16. No name on caller ID. just number 646-612-3456. Have been getting calls repeatedly. No one on line when answer.
I received a "hang up" call from this # today. (I did answer it , but whoever it is hung up) - The name on the ID listed "" I KNOW "" with the phone # 646-612-3456..... I'm adding it to my blocked calls list.
Same scam, claiming to be from MS Windows & was seeing unauthorized users on my network & proceeded to give me the License ID # for my PC, then asked me to log in so he could fix it. I declined & asked for a number to call him back later - 829-419-0808.
I make a habit of not answering calls from numbers I don't recognize, but after reading some of these complaints I thought what the heck! As soon as the guy with a heavy foreign accent started talking I repeated EVERYTHING he said in a accent similar to his! Apparently this annoyed him, as after a few parroted responses from me, he hung up! PLEASE....Do not fall for this information/money grabbing scam!
