Caller claimed to be with AOL. Indian accent based in Hong Kong. Claimed our computer was hacked and needed me to share the computer with him by going to teamviewer.com. I told him I was on my company compter and was not allowed t download any software. He asked what time can he call back when I am at my home computer. SCAM!
Received a call - shown as "Skype number" 661-748-0240 on caller ID. Since I have friends who use Skype I answered even though I wouldn't usually do so. The person asked for "Douglas" and I could hear Spanish being spoken in the background. When I said there was no Douglas I got a swift hang up. I'm sure it was going to be some sort of scam. Also, if you get a call from anybody EVER identifying themselves as from Microsoft, give NO information or NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, follow their prompts. Once they get your computer to respond to their "Microsoft" site you've signed yourself over to them unless you have a good security system.
i WANT THEM TO STOP CALLING ME BECAUSE I GAVE THE POLICE THEIR NUMBER 1-616-2470 THE POLICE CALL IN SOMEONE TO CHECK THIS NUMBER OUT BECAUSE SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE CALL
Just received a call from this number. He was from "Microsoft," had an accent, and seemed insistent that we had a virus. He could not give any confirmation of that fact.
This number registered on my cellphone and many times I did not answer it. Finally, I did and it turned out to be a Vendor that I am purchasing from in another country. My guess is that they are using Skype or some other internet company to make the calls from overseas at a lower cost than if they used a regular phone company. IN MY EXPERIENCE, this was absolutely a legitimate call and I believe the number showing up is a standard number from SKYPE or whatever program is allowing them to make calls overseas.
I woke up this morning to a very... disturbing... message on my phone. Being that I don't live in the greatest neighborhood, a phone call like this really really bothers a teenage girl. The message stated"Hey girl.... I like the way your house looks from across the street."If this is a number from California, THANK GOD that they are on the other side of the states. My friend had a stalker problem back in 2012, and I was almost positive that the guy who called me was the same guy. This is ridiculous. Nobody should call people, especially minors, stating that they are outside of their house. It's just wrong.
a heavy accent man (speaking really fast) telling me about his CLOUDING business. told him to go elsewhere. if the caller id looks fishy......not interested!!!
This Mark guy has been calling me also about the same thing. My husband got so mad that I thought he was going to have a heart attach. He said he wanted me to give a secure code and I told him I did not have one. He wanted to give me money back. Wanted to give me money directly to my bank account and would wire the money into it. I told him to send me a check and if he couldn't then give the money to charity. $150. He said if he put in my bank account he could only give me $500 and then I would need to go to Western union and to sign a paper to send back $350. I told him he was crazy. Now he is calling me saying I owe him $500. Told him that I never went to Western Union and that he told me if I did not go, then the transaction would be cancelled. No money has yet to show up in my account or a call from Western Union saying I have money anywhere.
A lady with an Asian accent has called us several times from this number. She's very confused. She keeps insisting that someone (Thomas?) at our number has placed an order with them and she's asking for payment before they ship the order. It doesn't sound like a scam, it sounds like a very confused person.I can't understand the name of the company she says she's with. I've actually spoken with her a few times, trying to help her out and get her to understand she's calling the wrong number. I've given up and I've just blocked them. Thank you Panasonic for having this feature!
