I just got a call from 661-748-0241 at 10:45 pm, didn't answer and no message left. Called back and got the message "this call cannot be completed because you are trying to reach a Skype user." Googled the number and saw all these postings! Although I really want to "uck" (I'm being nice leaving out the "f") with these people I'm thinking my best bet is just to never answer the phone and they'll give up. Really worried about the fact though that they know so much information about everyone. SSN #s, names of relatives, etc. Changing all of my passwords NOW!

We have caller ID and do not answer calls if we don't recognize the number. And IF you answer and they start harassing you on the phone, HANG UP !! Don't let people treat you that way. Then get a horn or whistle and if they continue to call, blow out their ears. The Do Not Call list is generated by the government which is there for businesses to use so they don't call anyone on the list. Unfortunately too many are not honorable like they once were which is evident by the bad attitudes of those who disturb us in our homes with their foul mouths, knowing we have no way to trace the call back to them, thanks to the phone companies who sells banks of numbers to be used at random. Beyond making your report with the DNC, you have to handle things at the local level and make police reports to show harassment. Insist they take a report since it is a criminal act (many will try to talk you out of it rather than be bothered with the paperwork). That means you have to keep a log with date, time, and what was said (or that they hung up if you have caller ID and don't answer unknown calls but you can still log the call to the list.) You also need to contact the phone company so they can send you out paperwork that you fill out and return to them with a COPY of the log you have kept (always keep copies of everything for your files, too). If your log meets the criteria for harassment, the phone company will turn the information over to the prosecutor's office who will in turn notify both parties to show up for a meeting to work out the problem with the harasser being told to stop making calls to you. Used to take police reports over the phone for these kind of calls and that's how it was handled in Franklin Co, OH. What angers me is we pay for our land lines but have no control over these calls coming in with some being so few, the law won't touch them.

They are scammers. This woman says she is from mypaydayloan and you owe them money. I don't think so. I do not have a payday loan and they call my job. I told them to stop calling my work number or I was reporting them to the BBB. Somehow they have your personal information such as bank account numbers and SS number. They are not who they say they are.

Caller ID said "Palmdale Area." They left a voicemail on my cell. Said it was Wainright International (a company I bought a personal coaching program from in the past) with a special offer for me. Left her name and number. She had a strong foreign accent. This must be a generic number used by many companies and individuals who use Skype to make calls to cell phones and landline numbers.

You can't even call the number back its a Skype caller. 1-661-748-0241

How can they use Team Viewer when they have to have your user ID and pass code?

Had 3 calls from this number today, it looked strange so I didn't answer. Looks like I missed an opportunity to screw with some scammers. I'll be sure to answer next time. Hahahahahahaha.

I got one too (12/10/13 @ 8:23 Central Time)! I tried calling back, but my services said it was a SKYPE number. My phone will not accept out of Country SKYPE

It's not a repo agent. I am a repo agent and they would tell you they are from the bank and just ask for a current address to come pick up whatever they are repoing.

Need to have a way to block and report these unwanted phone calls.
