This number called today (8/8/12) at 1415 ET. Caller ID says 'Buford, GA'. Call went to voice mail. Message was 'left' that was marked urgent, yet there was no (vocal)message, just dead air. I note that many comments say this is HP. I have had some recent dealings with them, most recent being a warranty replacement for a monitor, but all previous phone calls from them left an audible message and a return phone number. I will believe this is a call from HP when they leave a real message that ID's them as such and provides contact info.An 'urgent' message with no message doesn't strike me as urgent, so I deleted it...

It is an HP support line

They called me to make sure I got the HP printer today. This is my second printer, a replacement, since the first one broke down one week after it was not covered anymore. The reason why it does not work anymore is that I had to replace the ink cartridges. So I went to Staples, bought new cartridges for about $100.00 and replaced the set up ones by the new ones. Then all the problems started. So I called and went through all the trouble shooting procedures with a HP representative. Nothing helped. Conclusion: you need a new printer. They send you a refurbished printer and ask a lot of money for it. I mean, it is ridiculous that the original printer ( Officejet pro 8600) breaks down after one year and 1 week. Anyway, I bought the second one, since I had these expensive cartridges already. Hopefully this one will last a bit longer. The guy at the phone said, he will call back on Monday to see if I have any problem installing the refurbished printer....

It is an HP support line. I recently had called into HP for tech help. This number called me back a couple of days later to follow up on my situation.

I just got a call from this number (11:15 Pacific on 01/01/2013 -- talk about having a "24/7" support centre -- to get called on New Year's Day).The caller is from HP, and HP is sending me a replacement disk-drive for my HP Netbook, and the caller asked for me by name, and referenced the waranty-replacement.It's my good fortune that I had just *TWELVE* days left on my warranty!HP said that the disk-drive would be delivered two days from now, so it's unusual that they are calling me today, instead of 2 days from now.But, this is a completely-legitimate call from a reputable company.

i keep getting getting calls from this number, and it was freaking me out a little. it makes more sense now knowing that it is an hp call center, cause i just had to get a new charger for my computer. i had no idea though cause i have a pay as you go cell so i never answer it, and i was getting calls pretty consistently from them and i live in canada. seemed weird to me.

After several weeks of phone calls to HP tech support, they finally determine that their machines will not work properly with digital telephone lines and agree to take back the printer/fax equipment back. They promised a call from the sales/returns department within 48 hours. As usual that never happened. Then a week later I miss a call from this number. No message is left... When you call this nu,ber back you need a "7-digital HP rep ID" or the call automatically terminates.... nice..... Back to square one with these idiots!NEVER EVER EVER BUY HP PRODUCTS!!!!!!!!!

I purchase a HP computer and called for help at the support number and this number called me back asking to if an issue they WOULD NOT help me with two in my computer purchase. I told I solved the problem with NO FREE help from them(HP).
