last week i got 3 or calls from this number.....says an inmate from clermont county jail is trying to call....sounds like he says, it's jay....well, got another one today

I keep getting calls from this number. It is a Hispanic male inmate from the county jail. I don't know who he is and it makes me a bit uncomfortable.

Just got a call from this number. Collect from the local jail. could not understand the name.

I got a phone call from this number early today. I didn't answer my phone because I didn't recognize the number.. The message said it was from the Butler County Jail of Ohio.. it said that my message was going to be recorded.. They gave me three choices to dial. Number 1 was if I wanted it to be a collect call.. The second option was if i wanted to reject this call dial 2. The last one was if I wanted some information about the call to dial 3. I have only gotten the call once so far, but it's kind of creepy. This has happened to one of my friends family before. These people will call, tell you that someone is in jail that you know (friends or family) and ask for money for bail. If you get one of these calls just let it go to voice mail! Also, if it was from a jail from Ohio why would it have a Nevada area code!

Something is really wrong with this number. It says it is an inmate trying to call collect but the inmate does not give their name they say, "love you jenny." No Jenny here. The number says it is a prepaid calling card company. If the call is prepaid, why are they calling collect. I have received calls from inmates before and detailed information is given before you accept including price, which is NOT the case here. Nothing about this call adds up. Do not answer this call. I have tried to reject the call using #2 but this only results in more of calls within minutes of each other. Has to be a scam, Again do not answer or respond in any way.

I have had 9 calls from this number in 4 hours, I looked on the sherriff website to see if I reconized any inmates but that wasnt the case, but sometimes if the person just was booked, their information hasnt posted, so you may want to call the sherriffs office if you suspect someone you know may be in jail. Usually the inmate will say their name though. But I do know from experience that this is a clermont county and butler county jail number the reason for the out of state number is for security purposes, most of the time inmates try to guess there family and friends numbers to try to get money for phone cards and commissary, and just guess the wrong number while in booking, and sometimes there are inmates that just call random numbers to get anyone to answer. But THIS IS A CLERMONT COUNTY JAIL NUMBER, My suggestion is to look on the sherriff website and see if there is a inmate you may know first, before accepting the call, this is NOT A SCAM, have no worries.
