I get this phone call almost every other day, and it's the same expired warranty scam, they've got another number too (541) 784-2120.

Called, rang once and then stopped. Did not leave a message.

This is another number of many calling with some bogus auto warranty bit. The message keeps saying that this is the final call, yet they call back every day. Each time I press the number to talk to a representative and when they get on I tell them to take my name off their list. Every time they hang up on me. This is really starting to piss me off!

This is interstate fraud; it's likely the new scam whereby they charge your telephone bill anywhere from $9.99 to $14.95 for text messages sent; many thousands of people don't notice (as your phone service is always raising your rate for something). Have you checked? Have you bothered to register a complaint with the FCC and the US Attorney General, or are you just going to whine to nowhere cyberspace?

I started taking the call and pressing 1 to talk to somebody. I talk to a guy and I asked him if he could give me a call back number. I said i wanted to buy the warranty but that i was leaving and did not have time to take the call right then. He said he was a new employee and did not know the call back number. So i asked if i could talk to his manager. He pulled the mic away from his mouth and asked a someone who was not on the line if there was a call back number he could give me and the guy off line told him to hang up and so he hung up the phone. Maybe if you talk to the operator and threaten them with prosecution you could actually get you number off the call list. Tell the person who answers the phone that what they are involved in is an illegal operation and that they are going to get in trouble because you are gathering information and that you will press charge as soon as you get enough information.
