I received a call yesterday evening from 718-559-4093. No name on caller ID. I think the gentleman said, his name, and company, but his intro spiel, was very rushed. I did hear the word 'investment', somewhere, in there, though. I asked him "You're who, with WHO? He didn't reply to my question, but immediately said he was looking for " ". I told him he had the wrong #, and, BAMM, it hit me. I said "Wait, who is it you're looking for?" He repeated her name. Now I'm totally baffled, and said, "What the heck? Yeah, I know her, but she doesn't live here, and never has, nor has she ever been associatated, with this phone #, you just called! She is my husband's ex-wife. They have been divorced for over 20 years, and in fact, she just passed away, in June, of this year!. He was polite, said he was very sorry to hear that, and have a nice evening. CLICK! Weirdest call, I've ever received! You can bet, I'll be on the look out for that incoming #, Legit?,.... I don't know, but she's deceased, HE would have no reason to call again......... Scam?, who knows, but I'll make sure its reported, if they call again!
Keep getting calls daily from this number no voice mail left. I work many hours in medical field, harassing, interruption.
Not a scam. It is a gent for Fidelity trying to get proxy vioting completed. Hate that they don't leave a message but if you return the call the process takes less than 5 minutes. If you are not a fund share holder they will remove your number.If you are a share holder please vote one way or the other so they can do they work we are paying them to do (manage the fund). By not participating you are just adding to the administrative burden which in the end costs shareholders money.
I answered the call yesterday, did their proxy vote crap (and yes I'd been getting stuff in the mail about it too) and then this number called my phone again today.
