If you have an answering system on which you can record a message, search online for "SIT-TONE". That is the three note tone you hear when you call a disconnected number. Download that wav or mp3 file and use it as the beginning of your answering message. When you get a robocall, the SIT tone will be detected by the automated calling system. Numbers they determine to be nonfunctional are removed from their database. I usually get no more than 1-2 calls from any automated calling system. I got a call from 757-301-4589 yesterday morning. It was the first call from that number and they have not called back. It's also the first telemarketing call we've gotten in about two weeks. Every time I get a spammer call, I look it up the number and pass this bit of information on to anyone who might like to try it. FYI, if you do use it, let family and friends about it, otherwise they might think your number is disconnected when they hear the tone. I didn't do that and the 2-3 weeks of no calls and no drama before most of them figured it out was actually pretty nice.

This number also called my home .I have now blocked it using my call Blocker device, . I have also filed a complaint with do not call and they have also contacted me concerning other complaints that have been filed. . The more complaints that are filed the better it is so that more action can be taken.
