I have an idea that will get even with these people. When they call, pretend you are interested in their services (i.e. warranty or credit card, ect...). Say something like, "I am glad you called, I did not know my warranty was about to expire", or soomething like that. Then, provide them phony information. Give them fake names and fake credit card numbers. If they say the card is not valid, tell them you will try another one. Basically, try to take up as much of their time as possible. Then, before you hang up, tell them you were giving them phony information and then ask them how they like having their time wasted. To infuriate them further, hang up before they can reply.

THIS NUBER JUST CALLED ME..1 757-990-9881....SAYS NUMBER HAS BEEN DISCONECTED....YEAH SURE.....WHY CANT THE CELL/PHONE COMPNAIES DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE TYPES OF CALLS....ONE GOES, ANOTHER COMES BACK...YOU MUST CALL YOUR PHONE COMPANY AND REPORT....IN TODAYS WORLD WE MUST SPEAK UP....YA NEVER KNOW!

Received a call and listed on caller id. 757-990-8981. I am registered on do not call list state and fed. I will report them. However, it is my practice to never answer the phone if 1) out of my area 2)unknown caller 3) not personally recognized as that as family members or similar. If you get a lot of calls try getting an answering machine and set it for just a few rings. Get your mind set for *denying* them your communication, the opportunity to annoy or harass you or threaten. Laugh at them. You can even set times for wanted phone calls and then take it off the hook, etc., until then.

Please post the previous post on as many sites as you can. The more people that do this the better.

March 31st: A man called and asked us what our credit card balance was on our two credit cards and when we said we were not interested he said what the hell did I bother with you in the first place.

They are calling extremely late in the evening.

they call every day sometimes twice.can't get them to stop no matter what i say or do. i'm on the national no call list. i've threatened to call the carolina better business beareau. they still call. idiots

Ok, I received a call from this number today and I prompted to choose the #2 option that allowed me to speak with a live person. Well, the name on my caller ID was "Sales Dept" and the person told me it was credit services and that I could lower my percentage rate by like 6%. I asked her which credit card company she was calling for, because I do have a couple, and she just told me "we're just credit services and would like to help you lower your percentage rate." I'm smart enough to know that if she couldn't answer my initial question, then this must've been a scam. I told her that she had the wrong number and hung up.

I am so glad to hear Comcast can do that, Bellsouth/at&t told me there was nothing they could do and when i said i would switch companies they actually said GOOD, Comcast is coming out Friday 4/17/09 to change my service!
