I am getting calls from 757-990-8981 every morning this week. I don't pick up the phone since I don't know who they are. Never leave a message, so must not be important. I assume this is a sales call or scam.
1-757-990-8981 called I answered and got nothing, I called back and was told this number has been disconnected. It was listed as "Sales Dept" on my caller ID.
calls my home, no mssgwe are on a DO NOT CALL LIST and still get these callsannoying to say the least!
Got 2 calls in two days, one to donate $ to police, one to vote in current local election.
i am going to start messing with them too... i called the va police the lady told me she gets 100's of call and the fbi is working on it
I get about 8 calls a day from this number we are a business and I hate these calls. I wish we could do something about it. This is just not right.
Same as all you other folks out there. I just spoke with the FCC and was told there are concequences for these companies if a certain number of complaints are received or a definite pattern is established. However, just posting these complaints to these type of websites, although it is helping we consumers to know others are being harrassed as well, doesn't help to punish these companies. PLEASE FOLLOW UP YOUR COMPLAINTS BY CALLING THE FCC AT 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322)OR FILL OUT A FORM LIKE I DID SO THE COMPLAINT IS OFFICIAL. Oh, I'm not shouting, I just wanted this to stand out a bit. Thanks!
I get as many as 20 calls from this number a day ranging from CC offer to warranties, I've even had the Nigerian 409 scam on this number.Pressing 0 says it'll remove you but doesn't, calling back randomly results in different results. looks like the CO for this number has been a) compromised, b) had a programmatic Hacked, c) is bed fellows with these spammers/harassers.I will be following the advice list within the chain of comments here, and a little more.1) call the VA police for the city2) call VA State Police3) file a nuisance report with the FTC4) contact the office of my US Senators, and US House Representative5) start to keep a log of the call.6) since I am in Texas I will accept a few of these calls and record them (in Texas only 1 party has to know the call is being recorded).
