Cell call said nothing to ans. machineBeen using call screening on these and pretty sure I'm making them mad. The other day someone upped me to first name on the list at 8:00 am. they were also screened lol.

These people call me a dozen times a week! I have tried to talk to someone there. I need to report a stolen vehicle! The warranty on my new car is about to expire!! I sure would like to know where that car is. It isn't in my driveway, so it must have been stolen! HA HA I have never owned a new car in my life. When they call about my non-existant mortgage,it makes me wonder about scams. When they call me about my non-existant credit cards, again, SCAM comes to mind.

2nd call with pre-recording greeting about reporting hail damage in my actual county and surrounding counties in time for some deadline.

This particular call happen on 5-07-09.

Someone calls claiming the warranty on my car is about to expire. I don't have a warranty on my car and have never had a warranty on my car. It's obviously a scam. Each time i ask them to take me off their list, they don't, even when I talk to a person. Most of the time if I reach a person, they are really rude and hang up.

This is one of many,many,many unwanted calls my husband and I receive on a daily basis. It seems that as our ecomomy worsens, these people become more rude! Any phone company will let you block up to 12 numbers without charging. However as we are all aware, scum scammers like these people have 20 or more trunk line PBX switchboards and will only call you from a different number. I finally contacted my carrier (Verizon) and placed a service called "call intercept". I won't go into detail but it has been amazing. Here's the short verison for anyone interested: If a caller attempts to reach my phone and the caller ID is Private, Unknown, Out of Area, Unavailable etc... my phone won't even ring. A recorded message plays to the caller stating that the number they are trying to reach has "call intercept" and asks the caller to identify themselves and the company they are calling from. Only after the requested information has been provided will my phone ring with a special ring - kind of a "ring,ring" in rapid session. This ring type lets me know that it is a call intercept. I can choose to pick-up the phone and listen to who the caller is at which time I have 5 options; 1)take the call 2)block the call sorry, I've never gotten past yes or no so I'm not sure what the other options are. If I am not home to answer the call intercept, the call will go to my voice mail. I have found that once these scammers here the words call intercept, they hang up and the greatest part.... I never even hear my phone ring!It's not free but the $5 Verison charges me is so worth not having to deal with the harrasment. It's worth a try for those of you out here that are or should I say "were" sick and tired of the rude,mean pushy people call everyday regarless of the time of day. Being nice to these people doesn't work - but trust me call intercept did the job for us.Good luck!p.s: I don't not work for Verison or any other phone service - just in case anyone thought I was trying to sell you a service ;)

My cell phone hasn't rang all day and I just received 3 calls back to back, from 3 different numbers! The 1st one was (202)495-7148. Second was from (757)990-8981, then from an UNKNOWN number (per caller id on cell). My cell phone only gives the caller's number, not a name, but this can't just be irony! All three callers had to have been from the same company - I received them all within 2 minutes!!! If I had to guess, I would presume it has something to do with John McCain's campaign. Those are the only non-local calls I've gotten in weeks...and they have called me alot.Usually they leave a message, but on these 3 calls I just got I had my cell send a "busy tone" to them each time. If it was them, they wouldn't have been able to leave a message because I did that. Who knows?! lol

Guys I think this is a complete SCAM. I picked up and it was a computer, Im sorry I have the wrong number. This is ridiculous. Be AWARE!
