I beg to differ with you....today my 75 and 76 year old parents received a call from this number...the person on the line "claimed" they were my nephew (and my mother was convinced it was him) and he said he was in Mexico on spring break but got arrested and was currently in jail. He went on to say that he needed $1,200 dollars wired to him or he would have to sit there until his hearing. My nephew is 16 and his parents would never let him go to a destination such as Mexico. This entire ordeal was very upsetting to my parents and to the rest of the family as we were afraid for my nephew (he is a very good young man). This may "just be a Google number", but it is being used for scams as well. I did report this to law enforcement and told my husband as well as he just happens to be a Judge......you never know who you may encounter when you "think" you are scamming an elderly person. As for those who don't know the laws in Florida this is a felony.....just for your FYI! The call also came from California too. If you have elderly parents you might want to warn them!

I live in texas and this number calls my job at multiple locations and ask very disturbing questions.. I do get that a lot were I work but its not that normal for the creeps to call multiple of the locations in one day and he has called like 5. Also the name that shows up on the caller ID when called is Collins, Maura........

This forum isn't supposed to stop the calls. It is a place for people to report these calls so that others that get the calls can check here to see if it is a known scam.

My daughter uses this number to call us here in the United States from Europe. It is a google app on her I-phone (which she has on airplane mode) and it shows up as coming thru Escondido, CA and there are NO charges! It is great! But every call comes thru this same number because they are using this free google app. No lie...real deal...I was livid when she started calling but checked the bill and all is good after 2 months (we do have unlimited calls, texts, and data).

I had the same caller, same accent this morning too. I told him the same thing. I am not touching my computer because you tell me to. Give me your information and a phone number I can call you back if you information is ligit, and he wouldn't give me anything. He kept insisting, and I told him to send someone to my house then. And he ended up ending the call.

Because your number is just a random 10 digit number. Computers simply generate numbers and dial the phone. Duh.
