They called and said they were offering me wholesale prices because I registered with Broderbund. The deal was a free 30 day trial at wholesale prices and then if I liked it, I could register for $49 and get the discounts on software and computer merchandise for life. He asked for my email address so he could send me the code. I gave it. He asked for my credit card so he could bill me $19.99. I told him that I was not giving my number to some unsolicited call. He got irate and hung up on me.

I received a call from these guys the other night and did not pick up. Someone mentioned Broderbund. My husband recently ordered "Printmaster Gold, Version 18" from Borderbund, so I guess that's why we got this call. Signing the "Do Not Call" registry will not help me, since we ordered something from them, which establishes a prior relationship which allows them to call us.I'm not really bothered by the calls, as I simply do not pick up, but I thought this might help someone.

First call from this number today, but I guess I can be expecting more after reading all the other comments! I have bought Broderbund things in the past, but it has been several years! Guess you never get off some of those lists. I am on all the Do Not Call lists, but some of these calls still come.This reminds me of a scam we got caught up in a few years ago from a company called Software Direct, and it took us at least two years to get rid of them!

Called today at 2:58 pm Mountain time. Didn't answer, as I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. No message. I live in Alberta Canada. They have been calling me, on and off now, for over a year. Back when it first started, I accidentally answered and told them I was not interested in anything they offered, and to please remove my number from their calling list. They have yet to comply. It used to be quite frequent, but I haven't heard from them in months now, till today. I bought a Printmaster program many years ago. (at least 4 or more) I have had at least 2 more computers since then, and don't even have that software in my home anymore! This is ridiculous!! And yes, they REQUIRE that you give a phone number when you register any software, which should not be a requirement. And I never check any boxes that allow myself to be contacted in any capacity, whether by phone, email, etc., so I should have never gotten any calls at all. I am SO fed up with all the calls!!! I have registered 5 different numbers on this site in the last week! It`s an epidemic!

I purchased Kid Pics from the Learning Factory in 12/2007. After constant remiders I registered the software. The salesperson told me I purchased American Greetings Card Creator from Broderbund and checked some box that I was interested in 3rd party offers. Um, no I didn't.... My number is on the do not call list and I registered my number
