It was prescription solutions and I do have a problem with them ans they were trying to straighten out their mess. It is one mess after another with them!! Since call types to correct errors is not an option, call it unknown.

My 89 year old mother has diabetes and receives a diabetes meter through the mail that is paid for with her medicare. She told my sister that someone called her today and asked for her SS # and other info that they needed for the diabetes meter they sent her. She gave them her SS # , birthdate, and more information. We are worried sick. My sister called me tonight to tell me. I told her to check the caller ID and she found the number 763-274-3899 (Twin Cities, MN) on the Caller ID. We don't know what to do now!!!!!

Did not leave a message either. Must be a scammer.

Ok, folks. This number is from Optum a part of UHC who has contracts with other Insurance companies (AETNA is one) to provide case management and wellness assistance. The goal is to prevent unneccessary hospitalizations; yes the Insurance company makes money, but then they are also saving your employer and the government (you and I) money on unneccessary medical care. The goal is for people to stay as healthy as possible and manage any chronic illness, in other words to be responsible for your own health. This saves us all money. Obviously the program is not being administred appropriately or there wouldn't be all of these concerns.

caller isentified themselves as united health care. wanted to verify my birth date and I gave it to them

I have received 2 calls weekly from these people for the last 3 weeks. I cannot ever understand fully what they are saying on the voicemail though. Something about wellness benefits. I try calling the number back and can never get anyone. I have UHC...I just hung up with them and it IS NOT THEM calling. I have reported this to the UHC fruda and abuse people to research.

This is not UHC. I just hung up with them and they are not calling me for any reason they claim.

This is a UHG phone number. If you feel uncomfortable verifying the account, simply ask for the customer service number to call back. Give the UHG rep a couple of minutes to make notes so the Customer Service Associate knows what the call was about. The account has to be verified and it is correct that medical information can not be discussed with an unauthorized individual. The out going lines are usually routed out of Minnesota and are out bound numbers only. It is not always solicitation. A lot of times it is about your medication.
