Called my CELL PHONE and a recorded message says "Please stay on the line for an important announcement. This is your final notice before we close your file. If you would like to lower your interest rate..." I hung up after that because I only have ONE credit card and the interest rate is locked in.

Got yet another of these calls today and did a little digging. It seems 770-687-8794 is some poor schmuck in Stone Mountain, Ga. whose landline number through Comcast of Georgia has been "phished." When you call back, you get a Verizon message, although the number isn't a Verizon one. Makes me wonder whether reporting any number to the DNC complaint registry does any good. Clearly the number shown on caller ID isn't really the actual one these scums are calling from.

Rec'd a call from 770-687-8794 on my cell phone while at work today. Automated message from Card Services about lowering my rates. This was my last chance. They had sent me mail, etc. Lies.Pressed 1 as they had no opt out number to press. Was connected with an agent. I asked her to identify the name of the company as I am on a do not call list. She did NOT identify name of company (illegal) and said that the DNC registry DID NOT APPLY TO THEM. Asked me if I had more than $5000 in credit card debt. I replied, "No - what is the name of your company so that I may call and file a compliant with the DNC registry for your violation?" She hung up on me. I am beginning to think the DNC registry is a joke. Has anyone EVER been prosecuted or shut down for violating this registry? I am fed up with telemarketers calling my home phone, my cell phone, my child's cell phone, etc. I do business with NONE of the entities that have contacted me... and certainly not this one.

I received a called today @ 11:32am from 770-687-8794 it showed up on my phone as being someone's cell phone and that they called from GA .Since I have voice mail on my phone when I checked this they left no message I figured as much someone trying to sell something.

caller i.d. says "georgia"we know NOBODY in georgiawe don't know anybody named georgiawe do not answer any calls unless we know themtoo much spam and marketing

I received twice today a call from 770-687-8794 on my Verizon cell phone. The first time I did not pick up. The second time I did pick up. As others have mentioned, I was told by an automated message that my account would be closed unless I spoke with someone. I hung up.Who is this/what company is doing this?

same [***] called I didn't answer and left no message...I find confort in see others getting the same call. At least I know no one is targeting me personally. Scams like this have been going on for many decades, show how are goverment can care less about the public. My caller ID said Cell Phone, GA I assume Georgia but I know it's probably some hole like Las Vegas where you can get away with [***] like this. I know, I had an old friend that worked there making 1500-2500.
