The Federal DNC list does nothing. I've stopped answering my phone.

I too am getting a "you have been selected to receive a $100 gift card". How can I block a number? Doesn't it cost money through the phone company? Or if I tell them it's a robo-call will they just block it?

You're right about the do not call list. You can register, report calls, and also call the agency in DC. They do answer, and tell you to call back if you're called again. Call, and you get the same answer. We must be interfering with their water cooler chats.I do not answer unless I recognize the number. If the call is legit (friend) or they truly want a response, they can leave VM.

Someone from this number constantly calls my house. I have gotten to where I let the answer machine get it which they hang up on as soon as it comes on proving they are not important enough to deal with. I sure wish the government FCC or whatever agency is supposed to be protecting people from harrassing, fraudulent calls would get their acts together and do something concrete to stop these maggots.
