I answered and a lady presented herself to be from the SSA. I asked the lady, who's primary language is not English, what her SSA employee ID number is. As a former federal employee, I know Federal employees, such as SSA employees, are required by law to provide their employee number. The lady didn't understand what I was talking about. I told them I was reporting them to the SSA, she hung up

Call came in at 3:41P.M. on February 9, 2026. No spoken message was left. I checked the missed call box that read not in service. I checked the phone and there was a dial tone. I assumed the call was a scam.
