They called and let no message. Scammers!

They called actually looking for me, and even had correct company info according to my credit report. The only thing different was the amount owed. According to them my credit card with a $100 (yes it is a very low limit, I set it that low on purpose) limit was more than $700 overdue. (not to mention long since paid off, I think somewhere around 16-18 months since) After informing the man on the other end of the phone that I seriously doubted his information (since i had actually found the receipt for actually paying off that debt) and wasn't going to give him any money, he tried to use the oldest scare tactic in the book. "I'll just be sure to send the police to your place of residence." I told him that I'm sure they'll be more than happy to find that I don't live there and that you must have obtained my new number illegally. (I have changed my number many times in the past few years because of idiots like this) They now call me somewhere between 10 and 15 times a day at all hours of the day.

Midland Credit and Portfolio Recovery are known for their threatening messages....SCAMMERS!!!! They will change their phone numbers constantly...just keep blocking them...Portfolio Recovery leaves threatening messages that they "received your file number" as a way to scam you....NEVER FALL FOR IT!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND HAVE BEEN REPORTED SEVERAL TIMES AND BOTH COMPANIES CONTINUE TO HARASS PEOPLE AND UNFORTUNATELY SOME PEOPLE FALL FOR THE SCAM OUT OF FEAR!!!.

These POS called me at 7:30 am on a Sunday, really. No message left, what idiots do they have working for them to just call and harass people. Midland Credit Management. Have a good old fashion block call for them.

calls at 8:20 AM, then 9:15 AM, then 11:43 AM all on a Sunday morning. If that ain't harassment. Same thing from yesterday and the day before. Then they stop and resume at 3 PM, 4 PM, 5 PM even had one at 9:30 PM Sick of these [***] calling at all hours of the day.

You need to be careful with these idiots. They have 2 dings on my credit for a bill i paid off years ago to another company I owed. They have somehow picked it up and are trying to get me to pay something i do not owe. Have dusputed it to Credit Bureau.

I was out when this number (800-269-0280) called 40 mins ago. Caller ID said *Unavailable*. Too bad, I'd really like to know who they are trying to reach, and why, at my number after reading the preceding posts.
