My husband and I have been receiving calls from these people like crazy. I said ok to an appointment but I had to look into this company before I would waste an hour on a Saturday afternoon. The results of my search did not look good and I am getting annoyed of the calls.
I got the call its Jim Miller I have great news on my application. Left a voicemail on my cellphone saying to call sundance back. I looked up the number, found out its a scam.
I received the phone call and decided to go to their so called one hour meeting. 2 1/2 hours later after much badgering to joing their vacation deal I realized it was bogus. The first deal was $15000 for 25 vacations to use for life. 2 grand down and 16% apr on the rest. By the time I left it was down to $799 for 7 vacations 0% apr. They are very desperate to get the sale and are really good salespeople. Don't waste your time, everything is really shady. I haven't found one post stating that their vacations are in nice locations or nice condos.
i just got a call today at 8:10am on 1/29/09. the person named kelly said that i won a trip to the carabenes. she said i won the context at the bulls game and that i was in a drawing to the mega grand prize of money. all i had to do was find a person that was 21 or older since i'm 19 and have them go to their office and listen to an hour meeting and i get free air far from either midway or ohare. all i had to pay was the sale tax. such a scam.
I got a call AT WORK about this. They said that they got my info from a contest that I entered at a Dave Matthews concert on June 3rd. My call was from a Lisa at extension 701. I didn't even go to a Dave Matthews concert on June 3rd. Complete Scam. Why not just ask if I'm interested in attending a sales pitch? why must they lure in with such obviously false information? I am so annoyed.
If you entered the Sundance Vacations sweepstakes with the hopes of winning the grand prize but NOT with the express intent of inviting relentless telemarketing calls bordering on harassment, and you have been the recipient of uninvited or unwelcome telephone calls and are registered on the federal or state Do Not Call lists, you should call the FTC at its toll-free hotline at: 1-888-382-1222; or you should call the specific state in which Sundance Vacations has sales offices:(1) Illinois 1-800-386-5438(2) New Jersey 1-800-242-5846 (3) Pennsylvania 1-800-441-2555(4) Wisconsin 1-800-422-7128
got the same thing from the Dave Matthews concert on June 3rd. I did fill it out. Im in the "running" for 10 grand worth of gas and a $50,000. The "prize" i won was a cruise. I have to pay a $190.00 deposit for each person going on the cruise to cover taxes and everything else. Funny - I just bought a cruise on carnival for $317.00 total for 4 nights. ANYWAY - to claim i have to go in and listen to their presentation on their vacations. I actually went there last year and listened to it and wasnt interested. THEY PRESSURE THE HELL OUT OF YOU. The funny thing is, they tell you this is a once in a lifetime opportunity - you only have THIS chance to purchase thier vacations - if you dont, you never will be able to get a chance at purchasing it again. ONE YEAR LATER THEY WANT ME BACK. HAHAHHAHAAH. You basically pay money for a set amount of vacations......
soo i got a call from this number last night and said that i entered a contest in december which i did for a car and 50,000 and 10,000 worth of gas and something else.and apparently just for getting into the grand prize drawing, we get a free cruise to the bahamas (airfare included) so we got all excited and whatever.and this lady said my name OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. if i got a penny for everytime she said my name, i coulda paid for about 10 cruises. this lady is crazy. if they call back, im gonna tell her whose top dog.
