I work at Target. It is a confirmation about your REDCard application. Nothing to be worried about. They're just checking it's you that signed up for that. When you get a REDCard, it takes a little time to check your credit so they call you and verify. Hope this helps :) oh and to pay off your card when the payment is due, you can go to Guest Services at any store and you can pay it will cash or debit card/check. This note is for anyone new with a Target Credit Card.
P.S. You can also pay it via mail as well but that's not as safe and it takes a long time for the Target Bank to recognize your request of payment.
Just rec this message called the number on the back of my cc as it seemed like a scam.... the girl I spoke to said yes they did try to call today as someone called to have a new card mailed to FLA im in New England.. so imho if you get this message call target back ASAP. As I said I used the number on the back of my cc.. not the number on the machine..
I work In RedCard guest Services and this is a valid number. I actually just called it from work to verify.
Called my cell phone and left a voicemail. Gave me a number to call to verify some account activity on my Target card. The number they gave me was the customer service number. Good thing they monitored my account.
It's legit. I applied for a card a few days ago. Got a message today from "Yessenia" from 800-318-8433. I called Target's main number and asked for New Accounts Department. Was transferred over and got the same person that called me and left a message. They only asked to confirm that I did apply, my name, DOB, and address. Nothing else. Account approved.
These mixed reviews suck.I confirmed that this is actually Target. Yesterday I called their main line (they don't even really have a main line, I just called their "Store Experience" number, 1-800-440-0680, on their website) and the lady couldn't recognize the phone number or my reference #, which had me worried.TODAY I called again (same number) got a different lady. When I told her that I got a fraud warning call, she looked up "fraud department" and the first number she read back to me was this 8433 number. So, this is legit. Unfortunately not all of Target's reps either know or are smart enough to figure this out.I'd suggest calling the main line back again if you want proof that this is legitimate. I'd also suggest that Target make their process easier for people like me, it shouldn't be a maze.
Someone is probably applying for a credit card in your name then and they are trying to help you.
