They keep calling and leaving messages regarding my Belk account.Talked to them today and they said they representated GE Money Bank, who handles the Belk accounts, said I was over due (lie), said the postoffice was returning my statements (lie) and then wanted my cell ph and e mail address, which I refused to give. When I asked for the number to reach them, they gave me this 800#. I told the lady, we googled this number and it is a scam and she became very angry and ended the conversation!
Received a call at work. They left a vm saying it was for me and to return the call to Euretha. I never called back. I am not behind on any payments anywhere, so unless someone is calling trying to scam me or sell me something, they can go fly a kite!
calls 2 to 4 times daily .......... i am on DO NOT CALL LIST please helphave had calls from them in the past ........ DO NOT HAVE A BELK CARD
Someone from this number called my home (an unlisted number) several times this week. On each occasion, they insisted on speaking with me or "my husband" and would not inform the person who answered the phone the reason for the call. Finally, when pushed to do so, the caller stated he/she was calling about my Belk card - although "GE Money" appeared on the caller ID. Because the caller was reluctant to give any information regarding the reason for the call and because they continedt to call back relentlessly, my antenae went off, causing me to Google the phone number. What I discovered was this website, confirming my suspicions that the call is fraudulent. A warning to all recipients of a call from this toll-free number: DO NOT give any information to the caller. Listen to your instincts, hang up, and file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and your state Attorney General (each state has one). Take good care, everybody, and protect yourselves!
This number calls me several times a day. I have not yet answered and, based on the commets so far, probably never will. We DO have a Belk account, but it has had no activity for many months.
These people are calling me at work! I'm a teacher, and the secretary always takes a message. I do have a seldom used Belk card. I cannot figure out where they found my work number.
Left message on answering machine. It said there was an important message regarding my GE Money Belk Card. It even listed my name. I called it, but when it said to enter my credit card number I became suspicious. I've been getting a ton of those Nigerian money scam e-mails lately, so I'm especially on guard. The call also said to look on Belk.com, my guess is to sound official. I did, no kind of message. I called the number on the back of my credit card, there was no message there either. Then I looked on here and saw it was fake, I'm glad I didn't put that number in.
has called my cell phone twice but i didn't push a button to listen to the rest of the message.
to those who think this is a scam, it is not. I have a belk card and GE money handles the belk charges, payments, etc. and don't sell anything... So it is not a scam. If they are calling you it is because you have not made a payment on the charge and if you don't have one and they are calling you then its possible someone is using your info. I also work for the company in jax, fl, if they are calling you and you DO NOT have a card with them it is best to talk to the person and claim it as fraud and that you never opened one or check your credit report to see if one was opened under your name fraudulently.
