1-800-421-2110 is a valid Bank of America customer service number. Called BofA directly with a number from their website myself and asked. Got the number above from a credit reporting agency, not from a phone call.
Same thing happened to me through FICO. I called my bank right away and they said they didn't have any record of any problems or reports. Called fico and equifax and both said it sounded like a scam... My credit score went up so I'm not sure who to call next. The number on my alert is the (800) 421-2110 # from Delware. SCAM!! I already emailed abuse@capitalone.com and reported to them that his telephone scammer is so rude and annoying as their prerecorded message acts like they're in too much of a hurry to harass innocent people for any personal information and finally in a hurry to disconnect way too fast!
Received call on my cell phone stating it was from "my credit card company." When I asked for my # to be removed from their call list, he threw a number of expletives ending in B*&%#.
Caller ID said Bank of America. Same old recording to supposedly reduce my payments. Same as I got an hour earlier from a different number. I pressed one to speak with a representative, and asked what company he's with. Says, "Credit Services". I said the caller ID says Bank of America, and that's fraud and illegal. He said, "go [***] yourself," in his best Pakistani accent, then hung up.
This is a spoofed phone number. The number displayed in Bank of America's 800 number. But here is the message that was left."This is a final courtesy call before we are unable to lower your credit card interest rate. Press 1 to speak to the Member Services department or press 2 and your eligibility to lower your rate will expire."I don't have a Bank of America account, credit card, or any other reason for them to call me.
Received another unsolicited call at 12:54pm PDT with caller id of "TOLL FREE CALL" that wend to my message service with a 'blank' message. Other reviews indicated it is from "Card Member Services" - yet, I do not possess a credit card... repeated calls are annoying (at best).
I didn’t answer & no message was left. They hung up when the answering machine came on. I never answer calls from names & numbers I don’t know. CID said Unavailable.
Had a call from 800-421-2110 about lowering credit card, I pushed 1 to talk to someone, a man who spoke broken English answered on the other end, I told him to please remove our number, his response, it's not possible so I went to phone setting and put a block on the number. IS THERE ANY POSSIBLE WAY OF GETTING THESE COMPANIES TO QUIT CALLING, IT SEEMS THE DO NOT CALL DOESN'T WORK EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE REGISTERED WITH THEM!!!!!
