Real company. A call center for various alarm companies. In this case, it was my alarm company - Livewatch. My wife tripped the alarm by mistake.
The call was actually received by the number: 1-1-800-432-1429. There were two "1's" instead of the normal: 1-800. When calling back, there was a recording with "the number cannot be completed as dialed..." When dialing the correct number, it was an alarm company. They called the entire family that lives in my house, one after the other. We have an alarm and that is the number that tracks it, but usually there's a person behind it not a recording. The alarm didn't went off, so we believe its a scam, but what makes it weird is they called us all.
This is our security company calling us as we accidentally tripped our house alarm. To some of the above posters, they will never, EVER leave a message on a home answering machine in case it is a home invasion and the family is being held against their will. The last thing the criminals want to know is that the security company is sending out the police... some criminals will then take it out on the occupants if they know this is happening. I don't even want to think what might happen. (BTW - the security company WILL send out the police, but they just won't leave a voicemail stating this, so the criminals won't know that...)
Absolutely legit, the message was about a loss of power. They had the correct company name, the correct address, and the power company was scheduled to be replacing the main line feeding the building today.
Just got a call from this number. No power outage, not the correct company name, address, and not my alarm system company. So I looked up the number because I couldn't figure out why the called and who they were. You looked up the number because you knew who they were? Sounds more like you are one of the scammers trying to convince people to pick up when this number calls.
Fake call, don't answer. You don't know what kind of bad people on the other end. They called 7:30am, did not answer.

I received a package from a rigging company in New York with my name and address but this phone number as my contact number.

Calls once or twice per week with voice msg "Brandon from CTS" call me back. WTF is CTS? No context, no real msg.
Phone number calls multiple times a day, once someone from my office picks up, it is dead silence on the other line. When you try to call back, it is a number that is not in service.

Shoplc. I don’t mind them calling if I have a problem but they called me 3 times in past 3 days to fill out survey they emailed. If I wanted to fill it out, I would have, I don’t need calls, plus I did fill one out but am still getting calls.
