i got a call from 800-438-4357 saying that they got a notive at 10am but never mentioned what the notice what about. anyway i called to see what they wanted and i just got the run around - i told them that i sent a letter requesting to cancel my servic once my contract was up and from then on i never received any more bills from them so i just assumed that it was over with. so i get the call as i said and they told me that they never received any letter about the cancellation. anyway this woman on the phone kept saying that i didnt send a letter - so she said that she had to send me to a specialist and i just hung up - if they were so concern about the payments why did it take them 6 months to contact me - its crazy - so you all be very careful!
Same story. Phone call at 9:30 AM on Saturday morning. Nothing about why they called or what they wanted, although I confess I was so irritated all I could do was growl and tell them to remove me from their list. Then I called back and spoke to a customer services rep who promised to put me on their "do not call" list. Not that I believe for a second it'll actually happen. I am SO angry - this is a call to our vacation home. I have already the ringer turned off on our phone at our main residence overnight (yes, I realize how risky this is, for emergencies occurring in the wee hours) due to the aggressive nonprofit fundraising calls we get early in the morning.Unfortunately we do have an alarm system with them so I have no recourse as far as filing with the FCC. But I will certainly follow their chain of command and file complaints if they continue to bug me. At least I have some leverage - threatening to cancel my service if they continue this pattern of calls.
This number reached my home t 2:10 AM. I am recovering from surgery and do not need my sleep interrupted. This number calls 5 or 6 times a day as NOT PROVIDED. I'm sick and tired of their calls. I am on The Federal Do Not Call registry but that seems for naught. Why create a registry that no one is going to monitor? I do not have an alarm system and never did—so why the calls?
That was more than likely because you didnt pay your bill correct? They are automated calls but they do not call more than once a day
Same problem here. Have called them several times, and have even spoken w/a supervisor to let them know that the home in CA will be closing down and we have a new home in TX. Not sure that we wanted to cancel the service as we were not sure if the home would sell OR rent. If the home rented; we would then take our name off and the tenant would be the responsible party. (I just received a call from them this morning and I spoke with them yesterday, 1/11/10.) For some reason this company does not get that AND they stated that I needed to send a letter or cancelation as they could not take a verbal cancelation over the phone. This company has always had horrible customer service, outrageous fees to come to your home for any repair, etc. Not to mention that it takes a week + to get an appointment. So...if you decide on a new alarm company, stay away from this one. Have been with this company for 18 years, and you would think that they would have better sales and customer service support considering that we have a 2nd home!
I cancelled service for my father who ended up in a nursing home. I called them to cancel, the bills continued. Next I was told I had to submit my request in writing, I did so and the bills continued. I called them again and now I had to copy them with POA, a certified copy from the court! His bank did not even request this! It took me six months of canceling before I actually put a stop on it by the bank. They now have been calling my work 10 times a week at least. I am reporting them to the KS Attn Gen and also call the local news watch dogs. This is the most miserable company I have ever worked with. Anyone got an address for the CEO down in Florida for this KS based company.
